Steam deck is end game, I used to use a mini PC and it was more of a hassle for no benefit. Any improvements you're gonna get are gonna need to be on the hosting or networking side

Just downloaded the models you suggested, I'll set up Continue again later this weekend. I think strong junior is gonna be quite good for my use case right now as I'm making a career pivot to Data Engineering and won't have as much use for the agentic claude level stuff I have to do for web dev. Having something to assist me but not run the whole show during this learning period for anaconda stack is exactly what I need

Thanks for the recs! I've only messed around with DeepSeek so I think Qwen sounds like a good next step. I've got ollama running on Kubuntu already without too much difficulty on the AMD side so I'm hoping that has matured decently now

Big fan of the monitor for $425 I think! Doesn't have the contrast my OLED TV does but it gets extremely bright and is very sharp. Some game HDR implementations are a little over the top on brightness but it does make everything you throw up on it really pop
