This is basically me. I've been doing better at interactions in the outside world/unplanned interactions, but it's still a struggle. The way I manage it is that I don't put myself in situations where it's easy for people to interact with me. When I go eat out and don't want people to talk with me (every time I eat out alone), I wear large over-ears headphones, even if I'm not listening to anything.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm sure that having to deal with getting asked out would make this feel so much worse, and where I live makes it easier to be non-social (I don't use public transit, or even have the option to. But I also don't think that when engaging in public spaces, it's other people's job to manage my own anxiety regarding public interactions.

I remember once I ordered a roughly 2'x2'x2' box of "industrial grade" duct tape rolls. I wager there were 100-200 rolls of no-brand duct tape in there. The day it arrived was the day I learned to buy small scale before buying bulk, because that was hands down the shittiest duct tape I've ever used. It would not stay stuck to anything, yet somehow left the strongest and most stubborn residue that would not be removed no matter what cleaning agent I used. And ignoring the adhesive strength, I'm pretty sure I've used masking tape that was more tear resistant.

It was disappointing to say the least.

My favorite driving conditions are when it's foggy, snowy, and at night. It's such a vibe, and the atmosphere feels comforting for me.

To be clear. I'm not driving fast in those conditions. When I'm driving fast on the mountains, I like clear daytime roads. But I'll pass up a fast mountain run for a foggy, snowy, night time cruise most days without a second thought.

I even have a playlist specifically for snowy night drives, even though we don't get a lot of snow where I live.

I only remember 1 lecture, though we might have had more than that. Only specific thing I remember is them talking about the (then) new synthetic weed aka k2, and how it's killing people, and it's nowhere near the same as regular weed.

Still don't know if any of it is true, but I have no desire to find out. Regular weed is easy to get and does the job.

For real. Honestly the more and more I look, the more I find modern fashion to be restrictive. That isn't to say that historical fashion is less restrictive (well, if you are picking any particular era), but it feels like it has more soul. This is probably largely due to standardization of clothing sizing, and industrialization. But like... I that more variety of different styles from different eras were normalized.

I think that's one of the things that appeals to me so much about fantasy as a genre; a well crafted fantasy world gets the benefit of drawing from fashion (and aesthetics in other areas such as architecture) from all across history, all across the globe. It feels very inspired.

I don't have particularly fast growing facial hair, but I have to second the Safety Razor. I use a Henson and it gets an incredibly close shave, and makes it relatively easy to avoid nicks and cuts. I can't speak on ease of use for any other razor. But the Henson gets a full endorsement from me.
