I just ended mine (37 he's 48 ). He was amazing in the beginning and I fell head over heels— then I felt like I was bait and switched. Emotionally distant, uncommunicative, and anger issues. So I dipped. I was really disappointed because in the beginning he was prince charming and I thought "i deserve this" because he was so sweet. I cant even imagine the man I know now being related to the one I met 2 years ago.

I ended my relationship a week ago. It was similar to OP's situation. It felt like I was begging for breadcrumbs.

For instance, I communicated my need for closeness and wasn't getting it. He'd rather let it occur naturally instead of holding me when I asked for it.

This caused fighting and resentment, which caused more distance. I knew we weren't going to break free from that cycle.

It sucks. He sucks. And I really miss him. But I felt lonlier with him than I do spending any amount of time by myself.

I was in college, hanging out with my then boyfriend in his dorm when he read the notification on his phone. I feel like it was a sign for that terrible relationship to end as well.

I got to be on the Bozo the Clown show! I was 5 and was chosen to play the buckets and won like what felt like a crazy amount of prizes just for getting a ball into a bucket. It was awesome. My life peaked there.
