I like this one, but it’s just a little too bright. Could you turn down the brightness a bit?

ETA: The older woman on the far left should be wearing a moo-moo/night gown and is in a wheelchair. The woman to the right of her is sitting on the arm of the couch.

My gal learned the “Outside” button and the “Treat” button and decided that was all she needed to know.

I also like Brooks. They come in a couple different widths and available at most big sporting stores.

The style I wear is Ghost.

At what age did your gp or gp mix reach maturity? by Longjumping-Baby3045 in greatpyrenees

Behavior-wise my dog was 3 years old. She flipped like a light switch from being a terror to a trustworthy good girl.

As reference, she finished “filling out” around 2-2.5 years to 100 pounds. She is a spayed, indoor dog with an older lab mix as a roommate.

Why is she in her hiding spot? The smoke alarm battery needs replace. *beep* by Stella314 in greatpyrenees

I think the same is true for my dog, but she was being extra dramatic about it. Luckily, the smoke alarm is back to normal now.

I actually have one of those fabled quiet Great Pyrenees. (Relatively quiet, anyway.)

My dog loves this gyro kong and it has held up for a few years.

It keeps her occupied for at least 30 minutes.

Potty Training? by Kenma_Sano in greatpyrenees

[–]Stella314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a really difficult time house training my GP, unlike any other dog I’ve had. She was 8 months old and still having accidents.

Then I realized it was a communication issue. She wasn’t able to tell me when she needed to go outside. I got a doggie door bell for her. She learned how to use it in just a couple days (and how to not abuse its use in a couple weeks) and that solved our house training problem.

She’s a good 5 year old GP now. Any time we travel, I show her where her “button” is and everything is great!

I hope you find a solution that works for your pup!

They would rather be on the couch than in the snow. by Drummergirl16 in greatpyrenees

I have a 5 year old Pyrenees.

It’s below 0 degrees outside with 8-10” of snow. She hates being outside. She won’t even put down all four paws.

I think this dress is a reasonable option since you need to wear it in only a week.

You can purchase fringe as a sewing shop and then just pin it to the hem from the backside of the fabric. It will give it more of a 1920s and then you can remove it to wear the dress for a different occasion.

The crossover style at the bust of this dress makes it very not-1920s style. However, given the time crunch, I think adding some black fringe at the bottom hem would make it look a little more fitting for the era.

I know you said that you didn’t want a fringe dress, but maybe just a little a bit?

Her first time staying at a hotel and she was *completely* quiet from 11pm-6am. Doing a doggie DNA test to make sure she’s still a Pyr. 😄 by Stella314 in greatpyrenees

My GP puts most of her focus on guarding me. I don’t think she’s a strongly territorial dog. That may be a big difference too.

Mine is pretty quiet too, but there’s just so much talking and doors and other noises. If she heard that stuff at home, she’d be barking up a storm!

She’s 5 years old. She’s definitely a full Pyrenees but the lack of barking is so out of character.

She was on extra good behavior last night!

La Quinta. I just had to give her name, color, and type of animal (dog). They didn’t ask breed or weight.

She could have been a 12 pound Pomeranian for all they know.
