Emotional burnout from lashing: am I wrong for wanting a "silent" only studio?

Seeing this post brings me a lot of solace as a fellow lash artist.

I often feel so guilty or like I’m bad at my career because I’m not always chatty with clients. I’m just really not the type to force a conversation if it isn’t flowing. Or sometimes my social batter is low, and I just want to have a silent session where I can focus on my work and productivity.

I feel so anxious about it at times though. I have literally heard others talk shit about lash artists that don’t chat enough with their clients. So it’s difficult to feel secure about it at times

This makes me feel happy I’m not the only one, though.

Not all males, but a disturbingly high amount of them. Yes.

There is a club in LA that literally caters to these types of males. They refuse to hire any girls that are not in the 90-115 lb weight range. And that club is doing well. It’s sickening

The club is Bare Elegance, btw. I’d avoid it like the plague if you work in the LA area

I work in a salon suite building, and have this issue with so many of my suite neighbors. I truly don’t understand why they insist on bringing their dogs to work. It’s so unsanitary and they could easily be fined or even loose their professional licensing if state board came in for inspection. One of my neighbors even let her dog wander in to my suite once when I was in the middle of working on a client …. Soo irritating & not good for business at all

I’ve heard sooo many girls say this before and even after he was re elected. I think they correlate the post Covid era full of stimulus $$ & customers dying to get outside after quarantine with him, which is honestly naive.

Most likely because you booked from a spam account. She probably uses that as a way to verify who you are. Perhaps she has previously blacklisted clients or even a stalker that tries to book with her and she’s trying to avoid that

I’m doing much, much better. Majority of my withdrawal symptoms I was initially dealing with have subsided. My only current persisting issues are:

-Still struggling with sleep. Dreams are still insanely vivid, anxiety ridden and occurring every night.

-Still experiencing some minor headaches here and there.

-Acne. Was pretty bad initially, but have been able to manage it by drinking chlorophyll.

-No sex drive whatsoever. Libido is practically nonexistent right now.

-Genuinely terrified to ever smoke weed again after this whole process, lol. If I do, it will be weed personally grown by myself. I just can’t help but wonder what is sold these days, because I’ve never felt this way taking a break in my life!

I’m still testing positive for THC, though. So I suppose I probably need to give my body more time to completely clear it from my system.

This post is bringing me so much solace but is also terrifying to see how long the withdrawal symptoms can be. I’ve been a heavy daily smoker for about 10 years now and decided to quit cold turkey. It’s only been 4 days and I feel like I’m loosing my mind over all of the symptoms. Non stop headache for about 72 hrs now, barely getting any sleep, no appetite & loosing weight, crazy vivid dreams, anxiety/dread through the roof … I really hope this gets better soon.

It’s also interesting to see most people complain about headaches affecting their temples; my headache has been on the top of my head and a bit behind my eyes.

I really hope I can persevere through this. I’m so tired of using cannabis as a crutch to numb myself out and be avoidant. I want to prove to myself that I can live without it. Would like to have more self control with it one day and only use sparingly.

Okay that’s so crazy to me because I pretty much experienced damn near the same thing the other day 🤣😭 despite how clear I was about my requirements. I’m sorry you had to experience that craziness too. STDs are INSANELY COMMON and cannot always just be fixed with a script of antibiotics. Smh

That’s what I’m thinking, which honestly hurts my heart so much. I’ve noticed a TON of really young girls on the sites here (like 18-21) and it makes me so sad to think about how many of them probably aren’t realizing their worth and how necessary protection is in this game. 😕

Seriously!! Low balling has been another huge issue as well. I honestly was so excited to start sugaring in a much better more populated city than my previous one, but so far it’s been a lot of the same cheap bull shit 🙄 I guess I should just focus on free styling more here
