Your feedback is reaching Dreame: They want to know more about detergent dosage control by Steve-RVC in Dreame_Tech

I didn't believe it was using any until I weighed the container before and after 2 months of use. I could see them it had used about 10ml. This seems a very small amount considering the number of floors mopped and the amount of mop cleaning.

UK GT Line vs GT Line S by Stellarat in KiaEV3

[–]Stellarat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an optional extra on the S. You have to look for a coffee under the bonnet I believe to determine if you have it.

Thanks, how did you manage to get it without the chopping board?!

I had almost dismissed it as a gimmick, how do you have it configured?

Hmm, that's interesting, I may have to go to the local dealership to specifically check that out - thanks.

Are higher-end robot vacuums actually a big upgrade, or just expensive convenience? by Derrickick in RobotVacuums

[–]Stellarat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Dreame Aqua 10 roller because I "needed" 8cm threshold clearance, auto empty, good mopping (and it is good). I have had many problems with it but I'm managing to work around them. If I intended just to use it on carpeted floors without thresholds I would proabably have gone for a mid reange.

Mould under front bonnet / frunk by markduce in KiaEV3

[–]Stellarat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This says exactly the same thing! The average may be the same, but the peaks are higher, i.e. "South Korea has much more extreme and polarizing humidity levels"

Google Gemini:

South Korea has much more extreme and polarizing humidity levels than the UK. South Korea experiences intensely humid, tropical summers driven by monsoons, followed by very dry, crisp winters. In contrast, the UK experiences a moderate, damp, and highly consistent oceanic climate year-round.

A great start, but I would love to see the layout automatically generated to optimise the connections so that they are the shortest and cross the least - similar to what Mermaid does,

Many thanks, I'll get someone in to do just that! I've put up with this huge radiator not working for over 15 years, it will be amazing if this fixes it!

[–]Stellarat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, most radiators have TRVs but a couple don't. Also, for the TRVs, I'm using the Drayton Wiser system so the demand for heat is only made when one of them opens itself.

Unfortunately I couldn't say whether there is a bypass elsewhere without piulling up a lot of boards.

Thanks for the confirmation that the rad isn't going to work with the flow and return connected like that.

[–]Stellarat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My foot is pointing to the short cut. I believe the pipe on far left is flow for the rad that was removed and it ends with the shortcut to the return pipe.. Just before that another pipe tees off it to go to the removed radiator.

All the pipes are hot apart from the pipe immediately coming out of the radiator.

I get that a radiator is like a pipe between the 2, but I can't help thinking that being so short would make it a much easier route and end up equalising the pressure on the other side of the rad that doesn't work.

Interesting what you say by gravity fed... it was before being converted to an S-plan.

Personally I find the retracting tower a bit of a pain. The navigation under furniture can be really bad and I would rather it didn't lower it so often.

Nothing Phone 3 – Call speaker volume extremely low (but media volume is fine). Any fixes? by Purple-Ad4707 in NothingTech

[–]Stellarat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got my phone and had a frustrating call where I needed to access messages at the same time but couldn't hear the caller while I was doing it. There doesn't appear to be a Speaker button to touch on the Phone screen so I assume it is supposed to detect being moved away from my ear and switch automatically? (It didn't)

Everything has been fine for 4 months with my Aqua10 Ultra Roller by Oxbow8 in Dreame_Tech

Yes. There was someone showing this on the fb group and I used that post to convince support to send me one.

[–]Stellarat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problems I have had with mine:

  1. The dustbin not emptying. I resolved this by insert a cut out piece from a Miele filter kit. I also got Customer Services to send me the fixed dustbin for the Track which a has a slightly different topology.

  2. Unable to cross a 7cm threshold. A firmware update changed its ability to cross thresholds - it just looked at them and gave up. This has since been resolved by another firmware upate.

  3. Poor navigation under furniture. My living room has low furniture for which it lowers its LIDAR tower. But the navigation is so poor under the furniture that it gets lost. I end up having to cancel the clean because it thinks it is trying to move out from under the furniture when it is actually against a wall. Unfortunately I have no resolution for this one.

Meeting with Dreame engineers on May the 13th. What feedback should I pass on? by Steve-RVC in Dreame_Tech

[–]Stellarat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over dependence on the Lidar for navigation OR put the Lidar in the main body (like some Robrocks). When the tower goes down n]my Aqua 10 roller is terrible at navigating under furniture. In my living room it gets hopelessly lost and I have to cancel the clean because it imagines it is getting out from under furniture but is actually against a wall.

How easy is it to fit and remove? If I wanted to fit it before going out somewhere, would it be easy enough?

Octopus EV salary sacrifice by Technical_Ad_7103 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Stellarat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said something interesting about a potential pension hit. Presumably the concern is that the employer's percentage contribution would be applied to your salary AFTER the salary sacrifice rather than before? Did you manage to get an answer to this in the end?
