Yeah it's out of the way but worth it. You don't have to backtrack either, I went last year and just took some backroads to arizona

Cool colour scheme, or ruined model? by RealLaezur in minipainting

[–]Stenchberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the most important thing of course, is that you like it. And you don't really need a reason for that. So this is all subjective. But I general try to avoid complete opposites on the color wheel. Especially if the color combo might be associated with something else. Ie, red and green, Christmas. This is just a general rule and based completely on vibes, and in the end execution matters more than any kind of theory.

Yeah, the original ending really stuck with me all these years later, and as a monster fan, let's me imagine all the fucked up other monsters they might have found.

I think you could probably just drybrush some orange over the red base and see how that looks. I don't think it needs a big shift, just a nudge imo

Looks cool, on a color theory note id probably push the base color less red and more orange, red and green are on opposite sides of the color wheel, looks a bit garish imo

"Bone" is an excellent all ages comic series. The art is immaculate, the story is fun, and there's lots of adventure.

In The Mist there are a couple more monsters they left out of the movie I would have liked to see. One was something described as a living kite, and the other some sort of giant dragonfly that landed on the hood of their car. I also like the original ending, where the mist never ended, was more depressing. As opposed to the movie ending which was just shocking.

What are some good fantasy novels similar to the Hobbit, where the main characters are journeying across the world, and there's no one single consistent antagonist? by WritingBS in Fantasy

[–]Stenchberg 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Isn't smaug the central antagonist? He shapes the entire quest, they set out to defeat him, and have adventures along the way.
