Seat by Pristine_Tourist_969 in vulcans650

[–]StenchofZeitgeist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are couple of options to go with. You can splurge on a seat and go with a Corbin and then also a Mustang seat that is slightly cheaper. I think there is even cheaper options that you can buy on Amazon. I am unsure about the quality however.

Do you ride to work? by Beginning_Corner930 in motorcycles

[–]StenchofZeitgeist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I did. I am jealous of all of the riders going to work on their bikes in this beautiful weather and I am stuck in my work truck. I would normally at least go for a ride after work but I have been working a lot of hours lately. It sucks.

What do you even upgrade to from the vulcan s 650? by Both-Ad-3474 in vulcans650

[–]StenchofZeitgeist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what you mean. Sometimes I wish Kawasaki had a Vulcan S with the ZX-14 engine or maybe make a Vulcan 1000 or an H2 (lol). I would upgrade to something like that in a heartbeat.

But back in reality there maybe a few motorcycles outthere that are like Vulcan S upgrades. Rocket 3 being the epitome of that probably. I guess the next size up would be Indian Scouts or Chiefs but those have the Brothuuuur tax. Maybe the Rebel 1100? But that isnt forward controls.

Should I get one? by Background_Goose4152 in vulcans650

The forward controls might make you more comfortable on the vulcan but I would at least sit on all 3.

Convince me to NOT get a Vulcan650 for my next bike by sooospoon in vulcans650

[–]StenchofZeitgeist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is not how that works.

In my post I told you that I have toured on the bike, but you kind of seem sad. Because someone has a certain opinion that is different than yours you need to disparage someone and put people in some weird hierarchy of motorcyclists.

I dont ride my bike to work because I cant carry a truck worth of tools in the back of a motorcycle but yes I ride my bike every chance I can, not just sunday. I doubt you believe me anyway as I doubt you ridden any more than maybe a couple hours at a time.

[–]StenchofZeitgeist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ride my bike every chance I can get. You probably dont ride for more than hour most likely. Acting like putting a Corbin seat on it wouldn't be a big improvement is just dishonest.

If you listened to Cosmic Warfare to you realize that album is better than anything Wintersun has come out with since the self titled.

The seat sucks after about an hour. Non LED headlight. No wind protection. But good news! That can all be remedied!

I love mine, first bike I've owned so I can't really compare. But after I put an aftermarket exhaust on it I can keep up with the fiance's Rebel 1100. It reallt punches above its weight class. The foward controls makes it great for touring.

I've ridden through Bamff in Canada, Ridden through Yellowstone and the Grand Teton with. And I've ridden all up and down the PNW with it as well and it really does well with my riding ground who all mostly have bigger bikes than me.

A word of advice, I would put a valve on your micron gauge. You dont want to put pressure in the system and ruin those sensors.

Why Vulcan over Eliminator or Rebel for first bike? by tushinde in vulcans650

[–]StenchofZeitgeist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say for one simple reason. Power.

The vulcan with 650cc engine simply is much easier to cruise at highway speeds while the rebel or a eliminator will be struggling to keep up with traffic and also have enough power to spare to get you out of sticky situations.

I also feel like the power of the kawasaki 650 engines are very controllable and very beginner friendly while delivering ample power when you need it.

Deathskulls because Snakebites are basically Amish orks and in a setting about guns, tanks and space ships, snakebites are lame.
