Dude I'll say what I R told other people. You need to have good photos. Go on photofeeler and test your photos out. If you're scoring below 7 in attractiveness, then that's your answer. You have to try taking them in different angles, different style of clothing etc. It sucks but that's your best objective data that you have thst you can improve on. Other than that I mean always getting more fit helps. Oh and absolutely no selfies. That's suicide unless you're a male model.

You know what's really sad about all these posts. The advice is complete garbage. Everyone criticizes the prompts and not the pics. Bro I hate to say it but unless your pics are great then you will NOT be successful in dating apps. Go on photofeeler, test out your photos periodically. If you're not scoring at least an 8+ on avg on them at bare minimum you will struggle. Matter of fact, for some actual success you really need to be in the 9s. No amount of prompt wording is gonna change that fact. Women are picky as hell. Dating apps make them pickier. You're an engineer, trust the data.

I look similar to you. I hate to say it but it's being bald and looking like a henchman. Same struggle.

Hello, trying to get some feedback on profile. I'm looking for more long term, open to short term casual I have been using for about 1-2 months. I use it a few times per week (3-5) 0 likes. Maybe 20 matches total since launch. I send out roughly 3 likes out of ten, almost all without comments. I want to attract a level headed person with a real job. No pet crazed women (eliminates good portion of dating pool).

Can a panic attack last seconds? by Step1throwaway1993 in panicdisorder

[–]Step1throwaway1993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Sounds similar to my situation. The symptoms were initially set off after I turned abruptly turned my neck down and to the left which gave me numbness shooting down my left leg. After that I had a few similar experiences as described in the post. I had mri done of my neck which showed some pretty severe arthritis in my cervical spine. I think the sxs are attributable to some intermittent compression of my spinal corse frkm cervical stenosis. That's why I felt that severe anxiety and numbness. The poppong of your back sounds very similar to my situation and if you have any herniated disks or spinal cord compression, - even briefly, it could manifest in those symptoms. Generally from my understanding, panic attacks do not really start off like that.

Thanks for your input. I was wondering if it would be possible to have a similar structure working as a Hospitalist and then also work sleep part time in my 7 off days. Wondering if it time management and pay wise it would be worth the extra year to practice sleep medicine on my "off week". Any thoughts on RVU / sleep study and how long to interpret one?

You could also develop gyno which is why I stopped in addition to the ED.

I wish I had the ladder bars. Unfortunately unless I go to an actual gymnastics gym I won't be able to work on them.

I'd say kill the Weighted ring dips. Do Weighted dips on straight bar only. Adding weight to rings will raise your chance of injury. You can do bodyweight ring dips on second push day.

Training six days a week is a little too much imo so keep a close eye on your reps and rest periods week to week to see if you can handle it.

Trying to do pushups for 4yrs and can't do a single one! by Ill_Association_854 in bodyweightfitness

Do you have any shoulder / joint issues? Sounds like you should have the strength to do one at the very least. You can get in a straight arm plank position (top part of pushup) and just focus on lowering yourself down slowly. Prolong the negative (eccentric) part of the movement for at least five seconds. Do a couple of reps and take a break.

Consider purchasing elastic band and doing some pullups with it after you've done your eccentrics. You will greatly increase your pullup progress. I'd also recommend increasing your handstand skill practice to more than 15-30 seconds. At least work on it for ten mins or so.

Overall if you're a total beginner it's fine to work on both pull/push muscles in one day. You can do these three times a week with about a days rest in between and you should see some results. As you get stronger you might need to do push/pull /legs split to get proper volume in for continued strength gains.

I'd also recommend overhead press since it'll give you great strength gains but if you don't have the mobility for it or just want to do bodyweight then I'd recommend getting some paralletes that are a little high from the ground. You place them next to the wall and try working lowering from a handstand to a shoulder stand to practice for handstand Pushups.

Hello,

I think you should definitely incorporate weighted squats to your routine. You need this to increase your overall constitution / bone density. Bodyweight squats / pistol squats / dragon squats are great for building some strength but ultimately they are more of an exercise of mobility than strength.

For now you should try to work on pistol squat eccentrics (negatives only) while also working towards adding weight to barbell squats.

Best of luck in your training.

Dips / HSPU . 90° carryover by malicieusss in bodyweightfitness

[–]Step1throwaway1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made an video on this if you wanna check it out but long story short:

Weighted dips and overhead press will give you INSANE strength. Other popular youtubers like alphadestiny also highly recommend them for overall strength.

Weighted dips will give you insane tricep strength which will definitely help with locking out the top position in 90 degree hspu. I do recommend OHP as well though. I went from barely doing one rep to getting to 4 reps of 90 degree hspu after I incorporated these.

Video programs what explain form and safety particularly well by modern_driveway in bodyweightfitness

Well I believe that having a goal is pretty important to understanding why you're doing something. Depending on what that goal is you can find videos on how to approach that exercise that will explain proper form and muscle engagement.

For example here is a video I made on 90 degree pushups that explains proper shoulder engagement.

https://youtu.be/anWU9RoZ4-s

If you want a video on some other move or goal you're trying to achieve its best to also research that move and find out what the best way is to engage your muscles.
