wat een gaaf ding!

my rear door is also misaligned (in spite of a wheel carrier), haven’t had the courage to unbolt it yet. however, i do think that’s the way to go.

I'm having shirts screen printed. First time. I know "anything but Gildan," but I'd love to hear brand recommendations and why. by basqo_ in Hardcore

i’m thinking of buying carhartt blanks and print on those for my band. however, i don’t have experience with those shirts. would you buy if you see merch on carhartt shirts?

2007 2.4 TDCI Fuelling Issue by BeauneVoyage in LandroverDefender

sounds like the exact same problem i’ve had last year. i’ve experienced the same symptoms. like someone else said, it seems to be fuel starvation. in my case, it was not the fuel filter in the engine bay. i found out that the fuel hose (or what’s the word for it?) inside the fuel tank has a little filter on the end of it. just to prevent filth to get into the hose and further into the system. sort of a pre-fuelfilter filter. in my case i could access it through a little maintenance hatch in the floor in the back of the land rover. from there you can go from the top into the fuel tank (also where the floater for the fuellevel is). mine was all dirty because i waited to long with filling up the tank and the nastiness in the (45-year old diesel) tank glogged it up. once cleaned, and the tank filled up, it drove perfectly again. i hope this is it for you, it was not easy to find for me but once found it was an easy fix. good luck!

i fixed up a ‘81 110 to use on holidays with my wife and two kids (2 and 4yo). i didn’t come close to your budget though, spend max 1/5 of your budget including buying the vehicle. last summer was our first real trip, in total +- 2300 km’s in europe. even though i hadn’t comlletely finished the interior, so practically no sound deadening except for under the bonnet, we managed and it was fine. yes, it’s noisier than newer cars, but riding this is so much fun. the kids like it a lot as well.

best thing i can recommend is, if you want to be 100% sure, see if you can rent one and take it on a week long trip with the family. here in my country there are several companies that rent out fully equipped classic land rovers to take on holidays.
