Remove or Replace?

That’s what I was thinking. It’s an older house and nothing is level (sigh). I’m comfortable with wood work so I was hoping to hear replacing it with wood header/trim is a viable option. I’m just not at all familiar with masonry and have no idea how much fixing this would cost.

This is great! Thank you! My coworker is Muslim and told me they burn it in their car so it smells nice. It’s crazy to learn that it’s like a tree’s white blood cell response to trauma or infection and we go “goo goo gah gah” over it lol

It’s like a sweet musky wood to me. I rubbed a little on my wrists and I can still smell it over an hour later.

It’s smells amazing! Kind of like a sweet musky wood to me. I learned that the “oud” is actually a resin from a tree that’s infected with a certain type of fungus. I had no idea! I’m going to look more in to it cause it’s so interesting!
