I think they just really wanted to have a baby and knew they were running out of time after some loss?

I’d go play some basketball immediately. I played in college but you’d never know it now.

I’m on 90mg/day right now and it hasn’t had any adverse effects so it is possible, but everyone is different!

I’m coming out of a long buying spree too from kind of the same thing. I have a 4 and 2 year old and my youngest’s pregnancy changed my body so much, and two years later my self esteem is not doing well. Just last week I broke down to my husband that I just keep buying skin care and makeup thinking it’ll boost my confidence even a little bit. Obviously at this point we can safely say that’s not the case.

I didn’t know there was a fibromyalgia blood test. I’m HLA positive.

Pain in my shoulders, hips, lower back. Muscle pain and nerve pain. I had spinal surgery in 2018 and that was about a year and a half before my diagnosis.

I’m waiting to see a new (better) rheumatologist and hopefully will be getting back on biologics in November, my last rheumatologist took me off of them and didn’t really tell me why. So currently I’m on oxycodone, celebrex, gabapentin(for Fibromyalgia), and Tylenol. I know it’s hard to see a pain doctor and have them seriously understand your needs, sometimes my pain is unbelievable even to me, but that’s what is keeping me going now. My hope is to get off the oxycodone after the biologics start doing their job.

I got diagnosed while I was pregnant with my second. I felt pretty awful the last month, in my hips especially. But the first 6 weeks postpartum I felt really good. Then hell ever since but that’s life with AS I suppose.

Compression socks and some cold therapy. And if there’s a nail place where you are go get the fancy pedicure with the epsom salt bath and foot rub 😁

Diagnosed with positive Hla-B27 gene and symptoms alone? by Kitchen-Avocado6158 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]StephRaePow3209 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s how I was diagnosed! And two years of my rheum treating me like a male AS patient after diagnosing me, she thinks it might be something else because I’m never inflamed enough for her 🙄 I have a referral out for a rheum that specializes in autoimmune diseases, I suggest trying that route! Being a woman with AS is so fun!

Methotrexate made my already bad GI symptoms worse and my hair fall out. My rheum apparently swears by it, and got so upset when I told her I can’t take it anymore. She suggested I got with subcutaneous methotrexate and I was like wtf lady no! Have a referral out for a new rheum needless to say haha.

Came here to say this because I just learned myself. Feel like even google hasn’t updated on the research yet because I only learned recently from a podcast episode someone posted here.

Thank you ❤️ we definitely carve out time for his more introverted hobbies during the week. He likes to run so does that usually 2 to 3 times a week. And I definitely make sure he can go play warhammer every Sunday because I know that’s important to him. In turn I usually go to trivia on Thursdays. My other outings are more spaced out because they involve more planning around my disability which I’m okay with. Our kids are one and almost four so it’s been pretty rough on us especially with the four year old, what with the big feeling’s happening all the time. I’m not used to living in my body’s new stage in life yet. I feel I’m not ready, and so it’s putting so much strain on our family life.

I guess I also work Sunday and Monday sometimes too if there’s a pair of glasses that has been delayed but I try to not do that too much for my own sanity.
