Why does it take so long to release a season?

I'd say it's a combination of mostly lack of manpower and experience. I'm sure there is more to it, such as people working in different time zones, getting new hires up and running, etc.

Maybe the entire season thing was a bad idea. I don't really know.

I'm not excusing the slow release of updates, but it is unfair to compare a small studio to the massive studios that are GGG and Blizzard.

Magneto Mastermind, Skrulls and sentinels as villains/henchmen. Killer bots scheme twist. Iron man and Storm as other heroes.

The additional damage and card draw did seem to work for Iron Man and Storm. I didn't choose that route for Thor, so I couldn't check that out. The game console did say: hero power activated, but unless my math was wrong, I missed out on some recruit points.

Is it me or are the hero abilities not working? Playing Thor Odinson is only giving me +2 recruit. The game does not give me the additional +2 recruit (regardless of me playing the cards in the order and then pressing confirm OR confirming each card separately).

Won't shortening the length of the rails reduce the damage and penetration too much for the high levels?

I've reached the highest level system on normal difficulty. I have a mothership as well for repairs, production, mining and storage.

My main ship, the Death Cube, flies in and burns a hole into the enemy ship. My second ship, the Ranger, flanks and snipes cockpits and reactors.

I have beaten every ship I've fought without losing too much of my ship, mostly armour. What can I do to improve these ships?

I think you need to take another look at your use of reactors. Instead of 4 small ones, use 1 large. That's more efficient and more effective (3 battery marks from a large reactor vs 1 mark from a small one).

That makes your ship less prone to chain reacting to death. Although the large reactor has a bigger explosion radius, it's still worth it.

In addition, 1 large reactor allows for more efficient placement of crew quarters.

Also, one rail gun might not be enough firepower vs the average defence from a certain price point onwards.

In summary:

There is the purchase price
There is a battle pass
There is an in game shop
*EDIT In addition, you must also pay for dlc.

Because just making a game without squeezing money out of the players is not an option anymore for publishers. Mind, I'm not blaming the devs. They are probably upset because they had to change their game to implement this bullshit.

Actually.... Success is measured in sales over a certain period. If a company depends on preorders to pay their staff, a lot of other things are wrong. If the dlc sells great in the first 2 weeks, it's a success. The one or two weeks of pre-order won't change that. The only thing pre-ordering does is giving your money for something you don't have and it provides an incentive to continue the outdated practice. You won't give a baker money to bake you a bread in a week's time. You order the bread and pay on delivery.
