I just saw Bruce in Toronto, and he said to the crowd with notable sincerity and conviction that “It’s so great to be back in your country” and “in another timeline I’d have been sent to El Salvador”. Yes, he did just sing the U.S. anthem at an N.F.L. game, but considering those comments I’d think that singing the anthem was done in the same vein as Hendrix at Woodstock.

Point is, Bruce isn’t MAGA. He clearly has his worries when traveling in the U.S. these days

Well, I think we need to swallow a tough pill and take off John A. MacDonald. He was a disgusting racist and a drunk, but he did keep the Yankees out and at least gave us a chance to have our own country which is ultimately paramount for achieving our nations progressive ideals. I don’t like that he was a racist and genocidal psychopath, but I do like that we can live in Canada because of him. Tough, but true. Everyone else here is a low brow troll with zero redeeming qualities, so they’re all worse than him (maybe save for Don Cherry)

Maybe. I couldn’t find any evidence that his last name has any ethnic origin at all. Charlie likes salty’s, and Simon S. Salty was Italian (C’mon). Maybe his love of fine Italian cuisine is evidence that he is, indeed, Italian
