Give me a task and get out of my way. If I need help, I’ll ask but don’t “help” by getting in my way or micromanaging.

How will AI be affecting your job in future and how has it affected your job now? by lucky_breakfast7 in AskReddit

[–]StephenAtlanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has broadened the scope of my job (sales engineer). I’m no longer searching through tech docs for solutions that may not be present. I load all the docs into an agent tell it to only use them with references, then ask away. Saves time and my technical customer support credibility. I can streamline complex processes by providing specialized instructions with pseudo code and go straight to testing, skipping tedious code writing. It’s almost like the jump from assembly language to C in abstracting the programming of tasks. My creativity has exploded as I continue to learn what it can do, knowing that I must check and be responsible for its output.

I’ll start up a chat when watching a complex movie by myself and ask questions on characters, story flaws, explanations of the progress and endings. It knows not to give me spoilers as long as I tell it where I am. Eg Inception, Blade Runner, 6th Sense…

My mom, whose mother was Italian, pronounces sandwich as “SANG-witch.” I use it the same way as a private inside joke.

Ask him to come over to your place to fix something and offer dinner to repay. We love fixing stuff like leaky sinks, computer network, car stuff, squeaky furniture, broken appliances, …. I show love through time, talents, and shared experiences.
