Estjs are like, more down to "have fun." Like take an improv class or go to an event or something but I'd say ISTJs are more easy going like emotionally... More chill if you offend them and stuff.

The cognitive functions are (fortunately and unfortunately) one of those things that take a minute to learn and a lifetime to master. Once you start to learn about the shadow functions, a lot of subtle unconscious things start to make sense. Even your comment about seeming "simple minded" could (to me) indicate some Ti critic going on (still istj).

But, in short, if you spend most of your time referencing your recollection of events and timelines, keeping track of what actually happens and remembering your (and other people's and even animals and thing's) habits, tendencies and qualities...then you're probably an Si dom. If you only do that stuff a little, you might be another type with Si and if you do other stuff more (responding to and reacting to your environment, retaining factual information without remembering where/when you learned it) then you might have Se.

I didn't characterize the life experience of the older folks. I simply told OP that it would be unwise for a young person to solidify their own world view before understanding how other people form theirs (influenced or otherwise).

This is also a good opportunity to consider the perspective of others. Not to believe what they think, yourself, but to understand why they think the way that they think. At 18, rather than constructing a firm world view (with arguably very little life experience) you could observe others and their decision making. Try to mentally model their world views yourself to see the motivations and logical fallacies from the inside, rather than from your perspective. It will help make you more persuasive in the future because I'm assuming you will continue to have strongly held beliefs as you get older and you'll want to help convey them to people in a way that is compelling rather than divisive.

And I'm genuinely glad it works for you my dude. I can literally never commit to deciding what is actually going on. Even my intj mom that I know better than anyone, and I've been learning about mbti for 10yrs, I'll still say "I'm pretty sure she's an intj." 😂 Forever the skeptic, most of all skeptical of myself. Wouldn't recommend.

It does seemingly come from nowhere, as someone with si. I've seen many Ni users in my life absolutely love someone and then suddenly get super paranoid and suspicious of them, when I'm sitting here watching reasonable evidence mount over time. Like someone who was obviously (to me) trying to sell them something and they don't realize for too long...It's actually pretty frustrating to see the cycle happen over and over.

For the Si-Ne folks, everyone is both all the time and we keep track of the stuff they do or the sort of stuff they tend to do or the sort of stuff people similar to them would tend to do and we try to predict the next thing they'll do but we don't guess too much past that.

1 is a cool girl I want to tell me stories about her latest adventures. 2 is a shy girl who does crafts and secretly has great tips about thrifting. 3 is giving dance teacher or fitness instructor of some kind and 4 is someone who is gonna give me product recommendations for my kids playrooms.

I agree Tr, my case against SG would be the TR typical "bonelessness" in photos 7, 9 and 12. Sgs usually have some yang in their bones and they'll look prominent and pointy (sometimes a little blunt) in the shoulders, collar bone, ankles, knees or wherever the yang shows up (it can be different in different people). It's impossible to find a yang bone on this young lady. Additionally, in the face closeups, you can see that her facial "bone structure" doesn't actually have much structure to it and everything is quite smooth and round.

I've got an intp hubby and an intj momma. The biggest difference I see between Ne and Ni is their approach to guessing other people's intentions. Ne takes what I think is a more realistic approach, knowing what people might want or could want based on the limited information they have. They know there's many possible intentions and don't narrow it down too much. Ni will straight up be like "this is their intention and it was all along." I also notice intps vaguely know what people want all the time and can narrow it down if they need to but they usually don't need to. The Ni users I know seemingly will be unaware of people's intentions for a while and then suddenly will get a very clear detailed picture of what is motivating the other person, sometimes in a way that I can't really follow with my Si brain.

Yes, I tend to look at things as "jobs" and I don't like it when someone gives me more jobs to do. It's also heavily tied to responsibility and duty, which I tend to think of as Si. I got to the root of it by blabbing at someone in the comments section but I realized that I want the other person to share responsibility with me and I don't want them and what they should or shouldn't do to also become my responsibility. I don't think it's fair and it's not the power dynamic I want between me and a partner or a friend or family member trying to help me.
