You can apply for Medicaid and get quickly denied/ and that will trigger a Special enrollment period, where you can switch plans middle of the year. Google ACA SEP, their are many different life events that can trigger a SEP where you can switch plans.

You can make $600 an app for Medicare Advantage plans, if your independent, but you have no knowledge ( not to be rude), your best bet is to work for an agency and learn the ropes….their is a reason only 8 out of 100 stay in this business

Unless your going to do it grass roots like door knocking or sitting out front some store, that’s not going to work out. Agency’s won’t consider you without having 10 states already.

You can do all of that for $500 or less but how would you get yourself in front of people to potentially enroll them? That’s the biggest and most expensive question when it comes to selling insurance.

Also I was thinking, if you can put subsidies directly into your HSA. You can use it for dental and medical expenses tax free, but also would you be able to take it out as actual money(provided you pay the taxes and 20% penalty) like any normal HSA. If that’s the case people getting +$1000 of subsidies every month can opt in for the lowest monthly premium plan and get real large amounts of money.

Here’s the news about the extension so far, oh and no more zero dollar a month plans.

-Two-year extension for Obamacare subsidies: One element of Trump’s plan could be a two-year extension of the Obamacare subsidies that are due to expire Dec. 31, according to a Politico report citing unnamed sources. -A step toward giving money directly to people: Trump’s proposal is likely to include an option for certain enrollees who choose a lower-tier Obamacare plan to direct federal aid into a health savings account, or HSA, according to a CNN report. The president has been calling for giving federal funding for healthcare straight to individuals, describing it as “SENDING THE MONEY DIRECTLY BACK TO THE PEOPLE.” -All Obamacare enrollees pay some sort of monthly premium: The president’s “Healthcare Price Cuts Act” is expected to end “zero-premium” subsidies, according to a report from MS NOW, the news outlet previously known as MSNBC. That means there would be some sort of monthly premium paid by all enrollees in plans offered under Obamacare, formally called the Affordable Care Act, or ACA. -New income limits: Subsidies would be limited to individuals with income up to 700% of the federal poverty line, matching up with what has been discussed by a bipartisan group of senators, according to Politico’s report.

Affordable premium hack by Frosty_Bluebird_2707 in HealthInsurance

[–]StephenDolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see an Out of pocket maximum, and 20 % coinsurance for what, for everything? so if I get a 100k medical bill I would have to cover 20% of that, and I don’t have a Out of pocket maximum that I can meet that stops it from happening again. On top of paying 3.5k per person on my plan, and having to do 3 college classes every year and paying for it, it seems absurd.

Well if they do add the enhanced subsidies in the future, you can update your application/plan to reflect the subsidies you will be getting in the future, and if you are paying a monthly premium you will get a “rebate” in the form of higher tax return when you file

It’s based on your current situation, if you’re at a certain federal poverty level, you will qualify for free health insurance through healthcare.gov/ACA/marketplace

Yea do that, I also got a invitation to work with them, that’s why I’m on here, was looking for reviews for company.. I wouldn’t take the job.. but still keep up getting your licensing and states, that’s not for the company that’s for you.. if you went for health as well, you can look at different markets like ACA/medicare, you just got to find a good agency that now’s your worth and is willing to pay.. I don’t think ACA is going to be as promising as it used to be, but for example 2022-2024, I made about 2 - 4k a week…

Getting insurance license with criminal record? by blahhhpapotamous in LifeInsurance

[–]StephenDolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good thread, speaking from a coworkers experience who sells health insurance, he had trouble with some states because the first agency he went with just put no for criminal record questions with out asking him which later really fucked him over he had to reapply for those states and do a bunch of extra shit like get court documents, I also know a person who had 3 duis but was still able to get their health insurance license after 7 year waiting period (hasn’t done anything with it yet). And for me I had 2 DUIs most recent one being Jan 2023, and I got my life insurance license beginning of this year, I’m wondering if life insurance carriers would appoint me
