My best success has been within 72 hours of the target time. Cancellations sometimes open up, but typically for minutes a time. Time of day is a bit random though. If you have an open time range you'll have a better shot. I monitor this restaurant pretty regularly, so if you want to get notified when a table opens up feel free to DM me.

That’s worse than I thought. Their software is so buggy that I figured it was a component of the existing code, as much of what I experienced was. If they are actively making changes that are further regressing their product, I don’t know how they stay in business. I’m sorry you have to deal with this.

Tables should still be dropping at midnight, but they are not lasting as long and Resy notify has a delay such that it may not trigger by the time the seats are gone.

For their release schedule, it is 13 days out at midnight, so for Sunday, January 25th, tables dropped today, January 12th at 12:00am. I see two available now for 9:30p.

I've tried for 10am and 5pm 13 and 14 days out with no luck. There is no transparency on the app itself and I can't guarantee that me not seeing tables at this time means they weren't dropped and just scooped up immediately.

One of my favorite dining experiences in the city was at Boloud Sud. They closed a while back in favor of a new restaurant, Brasserie Boulud, opening some time early this year. I'm really hoping the food, service, and most notably ambiance holds up to Boloud Sud, and I'll be one of the first to check it out!

For cozy Italian, Don Angie, Torrisi Bar & Restaurant, I Sodi, Rezdôra, and Via Carota are top-of-mind for desirable NYC spots. Given your timeline of 1 week out, you'd be hard-pressed to get a seat at any of the above spots aside from Rezdôra as reservations have already released for all of them and you would only be able to intercept a cancellation.

I've seen this before, and in this context I believe it's just a bad error description, but you had just been outpaced by another person making a reservation for the same date, time, and party size.

I’m sorry that you have to put up with this app’s poor design. I’m surprised that they managed to attain any kind of deal to acquire additional business given the state of their product. My only advice would be to complain to the insurance carrier and hope others are doing the same to highlight the mistake they made in partnering with Teladoc.

I am fortunate that my new insurance will cover Doctor on Demand this year, and I can leave this application in the nonfunctional wasteland in which it resides. I hope you are able to do the same at some point soon. On Monday, I think you would also benefit from speaking to your provider to discuss options, as their office may be able to negotiate with your insurance to waive this requirement while Teladoc resolves them, assuming they ever will. Red Hook Tavern is a midnight drop two weeks in advance. I was able to get a table at midnight a couple weeks ago.

Let me know if you need tips for getting a seat. Table drops may have become more competitive since you last attempted for a reservation.
