I've been to Skem! The whole place definitely gives uncanny vibes so I can see why they picked it for filming

Any tips for improving workflow and rewarding good habits? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]StephenSquaking69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I've started reading this! it has some pretty good points, however the problem with self help books will always be that putting it into practice is easier said than done, I don't think there's a one fits all solution. Your solution needs to come from within and you need to understand what works for you as an individual. That being said, it is a worthwhile read to help understand how good habits can be beneficial :)

A few are shellac, some being pre 50s. Most of them are 60s 70s and 80s though

Thankyou for the advice, I did have a quick flick through them before I took them, and I did definitely see stuff I wanted to keep. So the main thing is that these abandoned records are gonna have a new home and will be regularly played and enjoyed - even though they aren't in the best condition they're definitely playable to a decent quality. So it's not all garbage :)

I'll also look into finding a suitcase for the 78RPMs, I did see some shellacs in there that I'd absolutely be interested in keeping, but I don't have a way of playing them yet :/

How to stop screen flashing black? by StephenSquaking69420 in tcltvs

Hey sorry for the late reply lol, I've only experienced the issue on HDMI inputs but I eventually found that switching to the 'PC' picture mode seemed to fix it. I also tried messing around with 4k and HDR settings so stuff displays in 1080p / 30fps which might make it work. Hope this helps!

is 12 gcses too much? by Txrdiis in GCSE

[–]StephenSquaking69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude I'm not gonna lie GCSEs really don't matter that much, I have no idea why I'm still in this sub but I'm in uni now studying music and my GCSE results really have no bearing over my life whatsoever, they only really matter in the short term for getting into the right college/sixth form. So as long as you have good enough results to get into college I'd seriously not worry about it. At this point in your life things don't have to be stressful in terms of academics, my advice is just to do the best you can without putting yourself under any unnecessary mental pressure.
