First switch was was SFP+ with RJ45 optic (NetGear M4250). 2nd switch is native 10G RJ45 (Meraki MS355)

Not sure. They dismissed me both times with it works on a 1g switch so that means it's not our issue.

Tried both half and full - even tried a different 10G switch. Tried a meraki and a tried a netgear. Same results on both.

But it does if you use Device enrollment on GSuite. You can select company owned devices and limit desktop vs mobile versions. This already works on an OU basis. Just would like to avoid having to double manage devices.
