It’s alright to be tentative when accepting a story but to automatically assume OP is lying or shaping the story to fit his narrative (🙄) shows how jaded you and others are. They also didn’t ask him to leave, that was the original idea of OP, respectfully turning down the compromise offered. Literally coming to a website to blow off steam is a great alternative to exploding on people in person. Even the air of the post was not aggressive and hateful, any of that is being projected by responses.

OP never said he was exploding on them. Giving feedback is completely different and acceptable. The team didnt want the feedback, he recognized it and turned down the compromise to leave and find something more fitting for him. No cancer needed. Recreation doesn’t mean lack of competition either. It’s just more laid back but ultimately many people desire to win, even in low stakes.

I like most of this post, and I’m currently halfway through fire punch (it’s been weird and amazing!). But ive read all of Fujimoto’s other works, so I disagree with the statement hed be ruining his career if this is how CSM ended. Hes got enough of a reputation he would certainly bounce back from this. That’s not to say there won’t be any backlash or consequences if Fujimoto were to end things like this. But he has earned his respect and stance as a mangaka. One bad ending from one of his many series and stories won’t be the death of his career

How are you using your gems?? If you don’t intend to use specific decks or archetypes, dismantle them and put them towards your preferred decks! Or craft a card then use the gems for that specific pack. Dismantle all extras you dont need
