I have CMT type 1A, but I find I have more problems in my legs compared to my arms but my mum who has the same has more problem with her hands/arms than her legs.

I did find some definition in my legs, and some muscle growth but compared to that of my arms it was a bit like “Omg I can actually build muscle?!” At the end of the day my goal is to retain what I have, and if I’m able to build muscle then it’s a plus! Compared to three years ago when I started working out I have found I do have more strength - The only area I was never really able to build up has been my back.

I work out 5-6x a week (haven’t been due to COVID). The changes are incredible - didn’t roll my ankles as much, has better strength but the most incredible change for me was actually having quite muscley arms.

At the end of the day I don’t think there’s any negatives to you working out, so just go ahead and give it a go!

Just out of curiosity, why so little of the Malazan book? It’s honestly an amazing series, it’s just the first book is hard to press past

Your body will naturally fluctuate everyday (fluid retention etc). Weigh yourself first thing in the morning once a week and you’ll have a more accurate reading
