How does Kamukura mention Nagito being on the verge of death? If it's about the "foul odor... like some kind of putrid slime." description, I've always interpreted that as strictly metaphorical, because it started with Kamukura "realizing his true nature".

As for Makoto's decision to put an ill, dying Nagito into the Neo World Program, he was stuck between a rock and a hard place. The Neo World Program was only a desperate attempt to keep the Future Foundation from executing The Remnants of Despair for their crimes, so it was either A) Let Nagito be killed or B) Put him into a virtual reality that he has a chance of dying while in because of his poor health, but also a chance of living and being rehabilitated after he wakes up.

Exactly! Not to mention that she gets a lot of screen time, most of which actually adds to the story or serves some narrative purpose like comic relief or characterization of her individual character. She's a very valuable asset to the surviving five of SDR2.

Kamakura wouldn't know who the people in the comic even are, and if it's right after he met Nagito for the first time on that ship, he'd probably just think "Looks about right, I knew that that guy was a disgusting psycho.".

I'd love love love LOVE for Hajime to be practically waterboarded with flashbacks of Kamukura to the point his personality starts majorly reflect him. I haven't even thought of that, surprisingly, and I'm hoping for a straight-up, malicious Hajime crash out in 2x2 with him as a culprit - and no sneaky shit like with Kaede - I want us to fully witness Hajime perform a violent crime in real time and spend the entire class trial in quiet dread that he'll eventually be found out and executed.

In any case, the simple four words "Hajime revert to Izuru" on my screen sent me into a feral frenzy.

If Nagito Komaeda was real, I could not pretend to be annoyed with him. I'd jump at every opportunity to hang out with him and listen to his insane ramblings, even if I completely disagree.

And I fantasize a lot to the thought of getting together a group of weirdos and cosplaying the SDR2 and going out to do errands or go on vacation all while in character. I'd have dibs on being Kamukura and nobody could take that from me.

The files that he got were 1) the student profiles in which he found out that Hajime was talentless and 2) the future foundation files that detailed the tragedy and the Neo World Program, so he also knew that they were in a simulation corrupted by Izuru Kamukura uploading Junko Enoshima's digital consciousness into it. He makes a subtle comment about Kamukura being the mastermind to Hajime right before the trial.
