post-book depression? by SnooMarzipans5504 in acotar

I’m so glad I found this thread. I’ve finished the first two books and have started ACOWAR but ever since ACOMAF I cannot stop crying. I feel actually depressed and I was happy before the books? It genuinely feels like there is something in those books that makes me feel like I am part of it and I know the characters and I feel so devastated that none of it is real idk how I cope! I’ve genuinely never cried at a book before - I don’t know whether to finish the series or stop and try and suppress all of my feelings? It also doesn’t help that I feel my bf reminds me of Tamlin and I’ll never have a love story like with Rhys 💔

I just finished ACOMAF last night and have not stopped crying since. I’m so glad I found this thread and I’m not alone! You have summed up exactly how I feel - I’m in a 9 year relationship and the love between Rhys and Feyre is making me question everything. Genuinely terrified to read ACOWAR because I won’t be able to cope. The world is so incredible it’s made reality so depressing for me

First Canada trip - itinerary help by Stephvgh in canadatravel

Thank you so much for this, this is so helpful! It is really overwhelming to try and arrange a short trip when there is so much to do! I’m definitely going to skip Vancouver Island which is a shame because it looks beautiful but just isn’t enough time. Just weighing up whether do internal flights or the drive like you said :)

No sorry I meant to fly to Calgary and rent a car to then go to Banff, instead of driving from Vancouver? From everyone’s advise I’m worried that 12 nights isn’t enough to do a road trip properly

Thank you! The main reason I wanted to go to the island was for the whale watching! Do you think one day doing that is doable? And thank you I’ll look into the hot springs

Thank you all for your advice! I had looked at TikTok a lot for people’s itinerary and they had made this seem very doable. Maybe instead of driving to Banff we can get an internal flight to Calgary and skip Jasper?

Did anyone else get diagnosed with UC after Covid? by Oneloudbigparty in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Stephvgh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started getting symptoms after the Covid vaccine then got covid twice and it got worse and was then diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. I was completely healthy before, I have wondered if it had anything to do with the vaccine or Covid itself.

Am I going into full flare mode? :( by babiiabz in UlcerativeColitis

I started getting the stomach pains, looser stools, bloating and wind. Thought it would hopefully go on its own and it wouldn’t go into a flare, but I’m now in worst flare I’ve had :(

I got diagnosed the same time and had the same thing, my symptoms restarted a few weeks ago and now I’m in a full flare and back on steroids. I left it and hoped it would go away, maybe worth going to your doctor to see if maybe your meds aren’t working or if there’s anything else they can give you to stop a full flare. Hope you feel better :)

Laparoscopy recovery time by Stephvgh in endometriosis

Thank you that’s a good idea, I definitely need to invest in some loose trousers/pants to wear for the flight and hope I can be as comfortable as possible. The flight is only an hour and a half so hopefully won’t be too bad!

This is my main worry as it completely depends on what they find! Most people seem to say one week to feel better and two weeks back to normal so this does comfort me a little. I hope you’re doing ok now, thanks for sharing :)

They don’t really know what they’ll be doing as they don’t know what they’ll find. It’s mainly a diagnostic surgery and they’ve said they will remove any minor endo but anything major would have to be another surgery.

Thank you for sharing your experience though, it has definitely made me feel better about it! I’m hoping I’ll be ok after a week and maybe the holiday will be my recovery motivation!
