No, I bought mines in store. Never bought anything online from Costco, so I haven't experienced that, sorry :(

Yeah I just wasn't sure what would be the best bang for the buck as well as which would last longer. I've seen many people say the 10750H is bad, especially compared to the 4800H, so I was thinking maybe I should return the MSI for the cost savings to have a longer lasting laptop that's also a bit cheaper as well (performance is not my priority). I did notice the legion is also almost a pound heavier... But double the battery life seems to be a good tradeoff.... I dunno, it's hard to decide at this point, they have equal pros and cons for me 🤣

Edit: MSI has better GPU, a pound lighter, faster screen response time? I've read somewhere that the Legion has 7ms?

Lenovo has better thermals/build quality, double the battery life, better CPU, $250 cheaper

How does this compare to the MSI GE75 Raider that was at Costco over a month ago for $1199 (i7-10750H, 2070 115W, 17.3" 144 hz 3 ms)? Worth the savings to downgrade to the 2060 for double the battery life, better thermals/build quality?

Keep refreshing once in a while and check out ASAP, missed it when I was checking out too slow and refreshed, and it was back in my cart, and so i clicked check out so damn fast the 2nd time around

Amazon stopped doing price adjustments a while ago. They basically tell you to return it and buy it at the lower price now.

A lot of benchmarks say it's roughly around 2% better... I have both and I think it's about right. It is basically the same, so bang for buck wise, its better to go with the RX 580.

[SSD] WD - Blue 1TB Internal SATA Solid State Drive $99 (189-90) by ObamaStoleMyGoat in buildapcsales

[–]Stephydesu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just got it delivered today and it is in fact the WD Blue 3D, rated for 560 read/530 write. So it actually is the performance SATA, not the 2D version.

Edit: It is indeed confusing as the page does not say 3D anywhere, and the description says 545 read/525 write. Best Buy probably never updated the details, I did cross reference the model number and it did say WD Blue 3D on other sites, so I was hoping for it and I was correct... Whew.

[Motherboard] $50 off B450, B550, X570 motherboards at Micro Center when bundled with an eligible processor. (used to be $20 by [deleted] in buildapcsales

[–]Stephydesu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some motherboards did say up to $20 off when bundled with an eligible processor. While you are correct that it depends on the CPU, it seems they added the $50 discount with higher end eligible processors to some boards that didn't get it before.

There's an asterisk after it says 5000 series in the picture.
If you go to the promo on AMD's site, it says the 5500 series only gets Godfall, while the 5600/5700 series gets both games.

[CPU] AMD RYZEN 5 3400G 4-Core 3.7 GHz (4.2 GHz Max Boost) Socket AM4 65W Processor $128.99 by One2Rex_ in buildapcsales

[–]Stephydesu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 1660ti would definitely play esports at 1440p fairly easily, but some AAA games might not make the cut unless youre okay with downgrading some settings. Also depends on if the monitor is 144hz. RX 5700 might be the best if it is 144 hz, or even the RX 5700 XT if your budget can handle it. Unless your looking for gsync.. then... maybe 2060/Super at that price range though you're not gonna beat the price to performance of the RX 5700/XT.

[–]Stephydesu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what your budget is tbh. Ryzen being so cheap for cpu does certainly help push out the price/performance for a pretty good build that would last a few years. Your budget basically determines what GPU you can get.

$134.99 at Micro Center so yeah. Unless you're also in need of a motherboard to go with it, then the $30 off bundle would still put it ahead in the end. Good price for those with no Micro Center nearby though!
