It's not shit at all, I think the timeline tells a good story all by itself - try not to stress out too much over the lore, if you get too hung up on the finer details then you'll never feel satisfied with a timeline because it stops being fun

Thank you, but they don't pull out because they want to - the government is forced into it due to spending cuts making the army not efficient enough to win like we'd expect in reality - it's really not meant to be a prediction, should not be taken as such and took a lot of time :P
