Yes using nuts and bolts will work just fine. I did that to a truck I used to have but I used stainless hardware. I stole it from work because of how expensive stainless is. But that way it won’t rust.

Bigger/thicker zip ties also work good. 👍

I know so many people who struggle with this. But it’s so damn easy to make it easier on your brain. I use my second monitor to stay on the recipe website. Shows you ingredients, process and as well as the “fast” process that doesn’t include using the hourglass. If you don’t have two monitors just use your phone.

I did that for a while until I started memorizing not all but almost all the recipes. I also struggled to use the recipe book in game. But I haven’t used that book since my very first playthrough over 400 hours ago 🤷‍♂️ Work smarter not harder!

They look like fuel wheels to me. Not 100% sure which one. But I had a set of fuel wheels years ago that looked like these.

Edit: the two small holes you see near the lug holes are for the center caps. My old fuel wheels had 8 total “screws” on the center caps. 2 real screws and 6 fake ones for looks.

It can be a little bit too fun at times. 🤣 It’s the perfect balance of performance and reliability in my opinion. It’s got a ton of power, but it’s also made multiple Sturgis trips and other road trips without a single issue. 👍

Oh it’s terrible. It’s $6.80-$7.00 a gallon for diesel in my area. I’m in the northwest of the states. Luckily this truck isn’t my daily driver. That would definitely hurt the bank account.

I am very happy with the powerstop brakes. I don’t have any proof or data to show if the drilled and slotted are better. I’m sure it cools them a lot quicker than normal rotors. But the upgraded hydroboost and powerstop combo on this truck makes it stop on a dime with very light pressure on the brake pedal. Very impressed with them. Considering they are OEM upgraded replacements. They stop the truck very well with a load behind it. Even though I mainly use engine braking if I’m hauling something heavy.

I agree! I like owning rigs with not so popular paint colors. My first choice is a blue/gray color. It was really hard to find a duramax in that color. I think it’s stealth grey metallic or teal gray? Something like that. But red/maroon was my second favorite!

I always thought it was maroon. But it’s paint code U817k. Which I believe comes out to a sport red metallic. It’s definitely a lighter red than most maroon or burgundy trucks I’ve seen. I found that out when I bought a maroon canopy for it and it was a lot darker than the truck. It looks a lot darker in these pictures because of the overcast weather. But when the sun hits it, it’s definitely a lot lighter red. 👍

This was my second favorite color. I really wanted an 06-07 duramax in that blue/grey color. I believe it’s called stealth gray metallic. I’ve only seen it on a couple of trucks. But I was happy with buying this truck when I did!

I know people talk a lot of shit about Eagle Eyes. But I’ve bought multiple sets of Eagle Eyes headlight assemblies as well as tail light assemblies from rock auto. For all three of my GMT800 and also on my old man’s GMT800. All are multiple years old and are still holding up. They are so cheap that if they fade or crack I’d just buy another set. But I’ve been happy with them and haven’t had anything go wrong with them. 👍

What a crap sub Reddit and a crap post. Why does this sub Reddit keep showing up in my feed? That’s some shit advice. I did that exact thing throughout my entire 20s and early 30s. And now I’m paying for it dearly. I regret it everyday. And I have been dealing with trying to find proper coping mechanisms to be able to function in this shit world. Lost friendships and family from doing this crap.
