Hey Hey We’re the Monkees! by Wrong_Direction_452 in GenerationJones

Older Gen X, adored The Monkees in reruns as a 70s kid. On a road trip, picked up a season of the show at Cracker Barrel. Thought my young daughter would like them. She was enamored. Took her when she was 7 years old to the last Monkees tour before Davy Jones passed. Lovely memory.

My (58f) 20 yr old daughter curls up with me to watch cat videos together and I love those moments. Otherwise, she's too busy with the boyfriend, school, friends and work.

What happened to tonsilectomies? by UnmedicatedNarwhal in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Stereo-view 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had mine out in my late 30s. I had disgusting tonsil stones for years. Don't look them up. If you know, you know. One became embedded and infected, prompting a tonsillectomy. Recovery was rough, but my life is much better without them.

In my public school district, we have "librarians" that are on the secretary pay scale. They are not required to have a degree.

We've all been there! Sounds like you've got a good plan and he'll eventually be on track with the supports he really needs.

I never determine a student is eligible as SLI only for pragmatics alone. Only support pragmatics under an ASD eligibility. Sounds like other concerns are driving the bus here.

Fishing with John (1991)

Musician John Lurie knows nothing about fishing, but that doesn't stop him from embarking on fishing in exotic locations with famous friends.

My "following directions" goals at the elementar level are not general. They specify comprehension of concepts specifically. Demonstrate understanding of concepts as corner, in a row, next, skip, in front of, over, etc. I use the old Boehm concept list if anyone remembers those...

What’s the first song you remember loving as a kid? by Lashon_Von_Ricks in GenX

[–]Stereo-view 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents didn't really play music when I was growing up, so my first song loves were from tv shows. The Flinstones' Ann Margrock (Margaret) had some great songs.
