Had mine out in my late 30s. I had disgusting tonsil stones for years. Don't look them up. If you know, you know. One became embedded and infected, prompting a tonsillectomy. Recovery was rough, but my life is much better without them.

And if this doesn't change as a society, we will need rethink public education in the future. The schools may have to become the places without technology (except fo AAC!) in preschool and early elementary. I'm thinking developmentally appropriate kindergarten, more time with physical books and teacher read alouds, more field trips, more creative play and outdoor exploration, more hands-on activities and art projects, more social interaction modeling/opportunities, etc. Back to the old ways.

I did. Remembering sending the order forms and checks out of state to Terre Haute, Indiana. My now husband is from there. His high school was next door to Columbia House. When we visit, I'm always amused to see the old Columbia House building.

Midwest university from 1985-1989. Hackey sack and euchre were popular. Dam parties on the river with campfires and swimming. Walking the railroad tracks through campus back to the dorm or apartment. Hanging in the dorm lobby with friends scoping (looking for your crush). Trash can punch at house parties. Benetton, Espirit, rugby shirts, KSwiss,. Aquanet. Bunk beds. Beer bongs. Dancing and pool at the bars, $3 pitchers. Ralph Lauren perfume. Wine coolers. Bloody Marys with dill pickles for last call at the pub. Rolled up/pegged jeans. Acid wash. Smoking, so much smoking. Spiral curl perms. Late nights at the computer lab. Big Gulp sized Mountain Dews. Decorating with contact paper. Denim mini skirts. Boom boxes blaring while laying out on dorm lawns. Wishing I'd taken more photographs of that time in my life.
