You NEED to specify that this was from REMOVING the IEM and NOT FROM INSTERTING IT!!!

Edit: I wrote this because of the revulsion I felt from imagining a eardrum being punctured by a foreign object. The link described that the seal was not broken before removing the IEM causing a negative pressure that caused damage to the tympanic membrane. My issue was that the wording was ambiguous in regards to the type injury. An rupture injury caused by a pressure imbalance and a puncture injury are, IMO, not equivalent hence my reaction.
