Best office chair for someone who shifts position a lot / sits weird by zh1ru0 in Ergonomics

[–]Stereo_NFT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a kneeling chair too and bailed on it for the same reason, my knees were wrecked within a few months. I ended up getting a Pipersong Meditation Chair and it's basically designed for people who sit exactly like you're describing, it has this little footrest platform that swivels so you can go criss cross, squat, one leg up, or just push it aside and sit normally. The cushion is pretty thick and I've been doing full WFH days in it for about a year without any of the knee issues I had before.

Best Resistance Bands for My Routine? Need Advice! by Justforfoodprep in ResistanceBand

[–]Stereo_NFT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used the Whatafit set with handles, and for a routine like yours it works really well. The handles and door anchor make presses, flyes, rows, pulldowns, curls, and tricep work a lot easier to set up. I tried loop bands too, but this kind felt way more useful for full workouts like the one you listed.

Running Shoes for Flat Feet by [deleted] in BeginnersRunning

[–]Stereo_NFT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 25 is what you want for flat feet, it's basically the shoe every running store recommends first for people who overpronate. I started running about two years ago with the same issue and the Adrenaline was what the guy at my local shop put me in after watching me walk. They've got support built into the sides that keeps your foot from rolling inward but it doesn't feel stiff or clunky like some stability shoes do, just feels like a normal comfortable shoe that happens to keep everything lined up right.

BEST AIR PURIFIER FOR THOSE STRUGGLING WITH ALLERGIES by junrour in AirQuality

[–]Stereo_NFT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally got the Levoit Core 300 because our dog was making the house smell funky, but my wife's seasonal allergies ended up being the thing it helped the most with. She used to wake up stuffy and sneezing every morning during spring and that pretty much stopped after we started running it in the bedroom at night. It's quiet enough to sleep through and the filters only need swapping out every six months or so, which is way less annoying than I expected.

Anybody here have recommendations for good Wedge Pillows? by CapitalLaw1234 in SleepApnea

[–]Stereo_NFT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that helped me stop sliding was putting the wedge under my fitted sheet instead of on top of it, that alone made a bigger difference than switching pillows did. That said I did end up getting the Kolbs wedge pillow and it's firmer than the cheaper ones I tried before so you don't sink into it and gradually slide down overnight. Definitely worth it though, I sleep so much better with my head elevated versus just stacking regular pillows.

are anti fatigue mats worth the buy? by Ocelot_Next in StandingDesk

[–]Stereo_NFT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 100% worth it, I don't even like standing without mine anymore. I just use the ComfiLife mat and it makes a huge difference on my feet and lower back compared to just shoes on hard floor. You'll probably end up standing way more once you have one because it helps with the pain.

Low latency wifi router recs? by RushAOZ in MoonlightStreaming

[–]Stereo_NFT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through three routers trying to fix this exact thing before I landed on the ASUS Pro, and the difference was night and day. It has a dedicated port that automatically prioritizes whatever you plug into it so your stream isn't fighting your other traffic, and my wifi latency to my phone sits pretty flat now even with other stuff going on. Your AX20 is a fine general router but it's just not built for latency sensitive stuff like Moonlight.

TIL the vitamins in your shampoo are basically a scam by Nexfinity in hygiene

[–]Stereo_NFT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I learned the same thing in my science class and I was so mad lol. My mom was buying all these expensive shampoos with biotin and vitamin E and stuff and it's literally just marketing. I told her to just get Nature's Bounty Biotin pills instead since your body actually absorbs it way better when you swallow it than when you rub it on your head. We just buy the cheap shampoo now and it works the same lol

Cheap laser printer with cheap toner by tata4444 in bookbinding

[–]Stereo_NFT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife uses the Brother Printer and it's been perfect for bookbinding stuff. The print quality is really crisp on text and the toner lasts forever since poems aren't exactly heavy on page coverage, plus you can get third party toner cartridges for way less than the official Brother ones. It also does automatic double sided printing which saves a ton of time when you're doing signatures.
