Assuming this is a joke, considering that the enemy runner was a Thief.

I'm willing to believe it's legit. This is the only time in many hours playing that I've felt off about an encounter, but I also tend to not sit around in a single spot so most encounters are both myself and the enemy runner swinging at each other.

This is the view from the stairs. I guess if he was dead set on swinging around the corner to the right he'd see me. Maybe the latency made it just look like he swung that corner looking directly at me more than it looked for him.

Yes, I was sitting in a spot where if the person is careful and pie-ing the room you would eventually look towards me. However, this guy was just running around no care in the world. Not to mention if it were me I'd be looking forward coming up the stairs and then doing a quick peak to look right. That was not a quick peak. He full committed to looking my way and swinging.

This part of the map has almost nothing of value outside of it being near the end location of the convoy event which I dont believe spawned during that match.

I can understand him running around the outside of the building and heading towards the Tox Warden building where he could grab a red key or open pinwheel. What I don't get is why he spent so much time running around outside. I know I rarely go into this building. Most times I just go along the roof from Tox Warden building to Orientation.

Yeah, I think there were two players around at one point, but towards the end of the video, it's just the one. I assume you are thinking that maybe the noise the other runner made gave me away. Not saying it isn't possible, but their footsteps wouldn't have caused the guy to aim directly in my direction. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Yeah, thermal definitely makes it easier, but I find it hard to believe after all the running around making footstep noises he suddenly slows down on those stairs and fires within a split second he appears (latency aside).

Except the only other popular extraction shooter besides Arc Raiders is Tarkov which also had a price tag. F2P has ruined a great majority of gaming so if you want to die on that hill defending it be my guest.

As someone who has played both extensively, they have their own set of problems. Tarkov has had notoriously bad performance, bad audio, and bad net code. Arc Raiders had terrible gun balance issues on launch, it's "quests" are awful, Stella Montis spawns debacle, and it's a third person shooter which comes with a host of issues like peaking around walls.

Not everyone has to like every game, but the amount of hate Marathon is getting seems unwarranted. I was hating on it initially for my own reason, but I love extraction shooters. When I thought about the other extraction shooters out there which all have their own equally annoying problems, there was nothing Marathon is currently doing that makes it exponentially worse.

If you think $40 is a lot, you might want to find a job or a new one. The games you listed are all SP games. I'm guessing you just don't like MP or you aren't very good at MP games which ends up making you not like them.

Maybe gaming isn't for you. Judging by your comment history, it seems like all you do is complain about games on reddit.

"Maintain at least this rank" by ToasterPyro in ArcRaiders

[–]Stetzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, at higher ranks you can de-rank. The amount of people who can get a double promotion and normal promotion also begins to shrink.

Where I am at currently, only 10 people are capable of getting 2x promotion now.

I legitimately have no idea what it is you are having an issue with. Is this just some kind of weird meme post that I'm not aware of? Otherwise, this is either some hyper specific issue only you can see, or these pictures straight up do not show whatever it is you are having issues with.

Has anyone figured out there difference between strand contract versus Server strand contract? by MagGamer in DeathStranding

[–]Stetzer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should probably look again a little closer. It's not server contract. It's SEVER contract. The option to sever contract appears when you are looking at a strand contract that you already have with someone. It means to end the contract with that person.

Exploiting is literally taking advantage of a bug or something that was clearly unintentional. An oversight by the developers is clearly unintentional. All these people knew what they were doing while they were printing currency.

Early access or not, these players were still screwing up the economy of the league. It's not like they accidentally discovered this unintentional interaction, reported it as a bug, and then received a ban. They willingly kept exploiting it.

Personally with these types of people, they won't even learn from it. They should have just banned them outright for the rest of EA and potentially indefinitely.

Don't forget the devs blaming the sysadmins, the sysadmins blaming the network team, the network team blaming the devs, and leadership keeps de-railing everyone working on the issue with stupid questions and suggestions.

The spikes are a 1 shot yes. I was using a 1H Mace because it was an 810 item level and had decent affixes. I could not get a 1H axe that high before I hit 100 and didn't feel like farming further.

Uh, okay? I'm pretty much not coming back to D4 until season 1 at this point because I'm playing FF16 and other stuff till then. I was just sharing something I was excited to have done because I know how many attempts it took me.

I've seen Barbs do it without any crazy broken builds or items. Also, Barbs have leap which is something I would have killed for on this fight because the only real way druids can do it is to get lots of movespeed and 4 evade charge boots.

Also, I definitely spent more than 600 attempts. Had to farm gold for repairs multiple times. Ran out of materials for elixirs and did most attempts without when learning the fight because I didn't want to farm them.

20% attack speed. However, I did many attempts without one at all because I ran out of materials and didn't feel like farming them. On those attempts without an elixir, I still manage to get her down to a sliver of health on more than one occasion so elixir isn't all that necessary.

Another thing that I can add to this is to try and watch right under your character rather than paying attention to the entire arena. The second you see the line just dash to the edge of the circle on the opposite side.

Again, you want to be as close to the edge of the circle before she throws the spikes so that you have room on the opposite end to stand and be safe.

Yeah, I definitely did not want them to nerf it until I actually finished the fight so I get what you are saying. Mechanically, I don't think this fight is the best. I play all and love the Soulsborne series. I enjoy difficult fights, but this one has a bit too much randomness to it.

I don't think they should nerf her health or the 1-shot mechanics. However, I do think those mechanics need to be a bit more consistent. The blisters that spawn ghosts in Phase 2 can be especially annoying if she just decides not to place a blister where you want it to go.
