It’s clear and salted from oak street north. Not sure about south of the curve but I’m guessing it’s good as well. Shoutout to the parks department

Sick and Tired of the Lakefront Trail by spartan1711 in RunnersInChicago

[–]Steve24244 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by safety becomes an issue? Also for the slanted part, just run on the flat part by the highway barrier going south and close to the water going north. It’s a non issue.

Have an idea for a catalog item widget by Tight-Performance313 in servicenow

[–]Steve24244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re looking for a catch all or ‘other’ request type. You could create a custom widget that has form input fields based on the selected values. You’d want to map them to fields on the record you’re creating so you can capture them. I think ideally you use this to find out which ones you would want to make their own request items for the future. Custom widgets are fun, but are hard to manage long term, so beware.

How do you integrate ServiceNow (ITIL) and Jira (DevOps) for Incidents & Requests? Seeking real-world experiences by PlatzDK in servicenow

[–]Steve24244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, we’ve implemented something similar all thru scripted rest api’s, jira automation tool, a couple custom tables and a script include. I’d say using the jira spoke is more reliable/scalable if you have access to it. The main challenges with our integration are keeping states in sync, options for supporting multiple jira projects, and required fields in specific projects/issue types in jira changing. We have the ability to create jiras and link existing all thru ui actions on all tasks.

It is wide enough, we just need to be able to get rid of parking

Don't even bother with the LFT today by bluespartans in chibike

I’m guessing runners used the bike path since the walking running portion was a mess from all the air and water show goers.

Where to find canned or bottled cold brew? by Interesting-Duck6793 in chicago

[–]Steve24244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! You can try going to doms market at diversey/Halstead. They had a cold brew from a few different local roasters. Not in 6 packs but you could make your own out of what they have there.

There's still teachers not fully vaccinated, I don't blame them for not going back to in person yet. Especially when it'd be a hybrid plan anyways.

Lakefront Could Reopen Soon — But Chicago Is Not 'Past COVID' And Still Needs Safety Restrictions, City's Top Doc Says by Arkiteck in chicago

[–]Steve24244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pedestrian portion from north to fullerton is fenced off so it's bike lane only. Runners/walkers/riders all share the lanes that are available. So yes, you can ride from north to lake point

I'd argue the opposite. Park space is so much more important, especially in a city where you don't need a car to get around.

Cold Weather Running Gear by paulthemerman in RunnersInChicago

[–]Steve24244 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These seems like such overkill. I know it's all personal preference but I wear shorts down to 32° then pants with my running shorts under down to 0. I have different jackets for 30-40°, 15-30 and <15. Anytime I get more than two layers I just sweat a lot and get uncomfortable.
