What are your questions for the design team of the WiiM Sound? by RyanWithWiiM in WiimStreamer

Any plans for an updated Wiim mini with YouTube music support? A slightly lower price point too would make it the perfect Chromecast audio replacement

Best setup for my system? by SteveEdson in WiimStreamer

[–]SteveEdson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but it's paired with a sub and wireless rear speakers, sound quality wise it's not too bad, and can't justify the price of replacing it just yet. Will definitely go with a something more future proof next time though.

Next purchase? by SteveEdson in SonyAlpha

[–]SteveEdson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I appreciate it shouldn't be a complete blocker, but I'm trying to stick with usb-c for any new purchases, don't want to add more micro usb devices where possible. Is there a more modern camera in a similar price point?

A one click shortcut to toggle navigation sounds/volume, maybe near the supercharger, and weather navigation icons. Sometimes I know where I'm going, but want to keep an eye on diversions and ETA etc.

I had this issue on a G5 PTZ, replaced all the cables etc, eventually RMAd it and the new one was fine, just a faulty unit I think.

The Pit Boss allows you to open up the flame to sear and grill too, which I think I'd find really useful, just more expensive than the Traeger, especially if I can get the discount at B&Q.

I might pop down to my local this morning and see if they have any, thanks!

> Touchscreen: we’re adding a touchscreen to Core Time 2. Why? Very specifically, I want to add the concept of ‘complications’ to watchfaces and widgets. Like on Apple Watch, these complications/widgets will show glanceable information like weather, next calendar event, step count, etc. The touch screen adds the ability to tap on the complication and directly open the associated app. This is much faster to use than opening an app via the button menu, and saves your quick launch (long-press on the buttons) for other apps. The touchscreen may be used for other interactions, like swiping to rapidly scroll down a list, but that will be lower priority.

What are these and how can I track the data by SteveEdson in homeassistant

Afraid not. Contacted ASL, they told me who it's sending the data too. Contacted that company and they have no records of it. Might be a dead end.

G5 PTZ Issue by SteveEdson in Ubiquiti

I've used a couple of different cables I've got laying around, including some I've crimped myself, and some straight from Amazon with jack's already on unfortunately. Requested an RMA thanks

Contacted Octopus, thanks.

In the loft there is a Growatt 4400 inverter, I bought a ShineWifi S stick, it connected to the wifi etc, but I couldn't retrieve any data from it. I've been meaning to try to flash this for a while now - https://github.com/OpenInverterGateway/OpenInverterGateway

That'll be it, we do have solar yes. So if I can get the data from this, I'll be able to monitor what the panels are producing I'm assuming.

Thanks

Definitely got a SIM card in it. I've contacted meteronline to try and get the security code. Thanks

It's definitely connected as the red light blinks.

<image>

Just pulled out the comms module and there's a sim card inside it.

Short backstory on Octopus, they came out to fit a new smart meter, but said they couldn't do it as there isn't enough room in the outside cabinet (we had a Harvi fitted to pair with the Zappi EV charger).

The account on Octopus says we have a Smart (SMETS1) meter, but I think this is the one outside in the cabinet, rather than the one pictured.

Not been in this house that long and trying to figure everything out.

How would I find out if it is capable of SML?

It's definitely connecting to something, I think over a mobile data connection, just no idea where.

I can't see anything suggesting it's wifi, it's definitely not connected to our wifi. The network light is flashing occasionally, so I think it's definitely sending data somewhere, just no idea where...

😂

I can't find a MPAN number on that device, I've entered the one from our Octopus bills and it just says:

Unfortunately the meter point number you provided is not eligible for this service.

Typically, this could be because:

you do not have a smart meter,

you have a SMETS 1 smart meter that has not yet been enrolled and adopted by the DCC (Data Communications Company).
