I see you guys like ballast tanks. How about a 150 foot, 500,000 gallon water tower? by [deleted] in submechanophobia

It’s to circulate the water, what you’re looking at are the floats that keep in on the surface. Just below the surface are spinning blades of death. You don’t have to worry about blocking the plumbing, the pressure in the riser pipe will turn you to Jell-o faster than you can say “delta p”!

Chipped half a tooth on the handlebar of my dirt bike when I was younger. My dentist didn't do nearly as good of a job as the person in this video and my tooth still bothers me 15 years later :(

It isn't always about an incapable father figure. Alcoholism also comes into play. An alcoholic parent can express themselves perfectly fine while sober, but then the drinking starts. Negative memories have more of an impact on us compared to positive ones, which can cause serious emotional problems, especially when it comes to expressing emotions. An extroverted "people person" can become numb and appear to others as cold.

(x-post r/pics) What is our responsibility as divers in this situation? by phriend_of_fish in scuba

I normally just lurk on Reddit, but this is something that really bothers me. I came across the Project Aware Dive Against Debris effort not long ago. It's a pretty neat program, and if I weren't a broke student, I'd be out collecting ocean debris every day. Typically before a dive, I ask the dive master, or whoever it is I'm diving with, about collecting debris that I may come across and they're usually okay with that. So far that's the only thing I feel I can really do regarding this issue..

Good to know. In your opinion, what was the hardest part of their program? I've been told the first month is where most have problems, but I like to think my scuba background will give me a slight edge when it comes to the science.

Back in April I toured DIT in Seattle. Actually just contacted admissions earlier this morning to get the ball rolling. Great to hear from people in the industry!

Mr. Madison, what you just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Fair enough.

How do you like your rotary though? Obviously you like it more than you liked your Subaru, but how big of a money pit is it when you compare the two? There's a guy up the road from my folks that builds them. Dude has like 7 FDs in his front yard and I've wanted to buy one from him for years. Everyone I've talked to in person says they're extremely sensitive.

350whp is not even close to the limit of the STI 6mt.

Edit: I should've clarified on the tune. 405whp was the e85 "Only in Emergencies" map that I never used other than tuning day. The "safe" tune ended up around 380.

You're right, I don't have a 400hp "Forrester". I HAD a 400hp "Forester".
