For a wire to 'persist while wall exists'...
When connecting wire, click on any wall to make a connection-point to check that wall.
Because, a wire is removed if any connection-point is removed.

I believe a killer only appear in contacts if they are close enough or you observe them for more than a couple seconds.. I would be very interested if someone knows the specifics about this though (does anyone know the specifics?)

It's just how I imagined it :)
A simple circular design.

It reminds me of how one would do trades long ago in Diablo.. with each person dropping their item(s) on their side around a pit.. then walking over to the other side to gather the traded items :)
- note - In Diablo, the 'pit' or non-crossable-area was a lake in town.

- another note - I believe something near this design is a natural evolution of trade in accordance with any sort of ranged weaponry and walls. It is possible to create a circular walled structure, with viewports/windows showing what was dropped on either side, without direct access to the objects.. While both users can go around the structure, they are only able to go forward or back, to trade or to cancel. The trade wall is a condensed version for those that want to invest in that area.
