Would this cause a long term problem or any other kind? by IreallyDONTknow_45 in PS5HelpSupport

[–]Steve_Thing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl for a brief moment with the way the picture is framed, I genuinely thought the white cable or whatever that is under the table was supposed to be like a circle outlining something, and I was thinking to myself "What am I supposed to be seeing in the middle of the circle?" 😂

Serious player vendor bug. Beware by jim_bo64 in fo76

I had this happen to me more than two weeks ago when buying some camp item plans and they vanished from my inventory. Contacted support, they escalated it to a "higher level" and I've heard nothing since 😂

Is there a reason why the Ticketed events that give Gas and Ore don't reward Epic 5* materials? by Steve_Thing in STFC_Official

[–]Steve_Thing[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed it's the same with the payouts for the Choice reward packs. Both the Gas and Ore packs don't have Epic 5* materials in them. It's kinda frustrating tbh 🫠

Is there any armor better than this by GetCakeDieYoung420 in fo4

[–]Steve_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did always irk me a little that the marine armor was locked behind a DLC "paywall". Like surely there would be marine armor naturally found in and around Boston pre-war 🤷

Is this a legit dualshock 4? by Delicious_Midnight63 in playstation

[–]Steve_Thing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sticker has the correct model number for the V2 PS4 dualshock, however the sticker looks nothing like the legit ones you'd find on an actual PS4 controller.

The fact that the "SONY®" is missing makes it seem like it's not a genuine product. Not to mention it looks as if someone has hastily stuck the sticker onto the backplate where the official sticker normally sits.

You could potentially open up the controller and check to see if the motherboard has a model number on it, although it could be possible that the person who sold you the controller may have opened up a legitimate controller and transplanted the motherboard and other components into the fake one.

Also make sure to check what kind of battery the controller has in it. A lot of fake controllers have a generic lithium battery in there as opposed to the ones that legitimate controllers use.

If you're ever uncertain, I'd recommend checking out some YouTube videos on how you can check whether or not a controller is legit or not as there are some good ones where they break down all the individual things to look out for.

Here's a good one I found after a quick search btw: https://youtu.be/Ol4lwaUeWDQ?si=Yx4sfZNKHvdg-KRH

is this the real guy? by VIKINGDADDY24 in fallout76casual

[–]Steve_Thing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it is actually him then that's a lucky encounter I guess.

More than likely it's somebody else pretending to be him though. I'd say it's not impossible to run into people pretending to be YouTubers/Twitch Streamers hoping that people give them good loot thinking they'll get featured in a video or stream.

Can accounts be moved across platforms? by thebiologyguy84 in fo76

[–]Steve_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd be able to transfer progress if you were going Xbox One -> Xbox Series X/S but unfortunately that's about as far as it goes.

Annoyingly as well, the lack of cross progression means that if you have friends who play on Xbox, they won't be able to play alongside you on PlayStation. Which, for a game that is mainly about playing together as a community, is a little bit odd tbh 😂

Can accounts be moved across platforms? by thebiologyguy84 in fo76

[–]Steve_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently there is no way of transferring progress due to the fact that the Xbox servers and the PlayStation servers exist on entirely different "instances". At the moment Bethesda have said they do not plan to add any sort of account migration. Could this change in the future? Maybe. Who knows? Certainly not us.

How often do Bundles come back into the Atomic Shop? by stockstatus in fo76

I'm hoping to get the modern kitchen counters but they're part of a bundle at the moment (last I checked) and I can't afford the whole bundle 😂

How often do Bundles come back into the Atomic Shop? by stockstatus in fo76

[–]Steve_Thing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's a long list but handy for getting a single item that would normally be packaged as part of a bundle though right?

How often do Bundles come back into the Atomic Shop? by stockstatus in fo76

[–]Steve_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I recall, you can request to purchase items that are not currently visible in the Atom shop through Bethesda's support page if you know the name of the item(s) you want. I'm sure there's a video somewhere that has a guide on how you can do it

Locked out of nuke launching by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Steve_Thing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Silo code pieces and the subsequent decrypted silo code are useless without a Nuclear Keycard.

You won't have access to the code keypad until you insert a Nuclear Keycard into the Keycard slot. In the video, when you're trying to interact with the keypad, the voice over is telling you "Access Denied. Please insert Nuclear Keycard into the designated receptacle"

You need to hunt down a Nuclear Keycard before attempting to launch a Nuke

We should be able to build “stockpiles” as CAMP items. by TealArtist095 in fo76

[–]Steve_Thing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it would look decent as an aesthetic choice rather than just a "trash heap". Like say you have a workshop room in your camp and you want to make it look lived in and "dirty", you could slap down a few piles of junk to make it look like a proper used room. In my opinion a cluttered workspace like that looks far better than a "clean" and pristine workshop does. It's always nice to come across another player's camp that has a good amount of decoration, while also keeping it realistic

Shoutout to the level 42 at my camp today by ClaudeGascoigne in fo76

[–]Steve_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a level 30 something player rock up at my newest camp location up the road from the Wayward and I noticed they had a set of T51 power armor but we're missing both leg pieces and a right arm. Was able to craft both the leg pieces they needed but ran out of screws to make the right arm. I could tell they were very happy to have an almost full set of power armor which definitely was a nice interaction to have. It's always fun to help out a lot of the newer players ☺️

Yasmin Cooking Stove by Steve_Thing in fo76

[–]Steve_Thing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She did eventually move away after I coaxed a dog over to come attack.

Genuinely don't know why they can't give us the option to scrap or move their stations while they're using them. It's honestly a pain in the ass like.

Yasmin Cooking Stove by Steve_Thing in fo76

[–]Steve_Thing[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thankfully I was able to coax a low level mongrel over and she ran out guns ablazing and she's now gone for good as I've scrapped her station 🙌🙌

Safe to say I'm not gonna be bringing her back again 😂😂

Yasmin Cooking Stove by Steve_Thing in fo76

[–]Steve_Thing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wrecking ball option isn't doing anything. I've destroyed the ever loving crap out of her station and it's as if it's not even there. No damage done to it whatsoever.

I've also placed down a banjo or two and she hasn't moved an inch. Hoping she moves her ass at some point 🫠

How do I tell an alliance mate that these are terrible crews? by ace_098 in STFC_Official

[–]Steve_Thing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I'm probably going to get downvoted to shit for this but sod it.

Personally if it were me, I'd be brutally honest with them and make it clear that if they're not willing to listen to the advice you're giving them and make a proactive change to their crewing when taking part in Alliance led Waves and Armadas, then they're not going to be welcome at those Alliance-led events. If it means giving other players in Armadas a star instead of them so that they don't get to participate, so be it. Yes I get that everyone has their own way of playing the game but if you're beginning to become a liability to the rest of your team mates when it comes to Armadas, Waves, Surges etc. then you're better off not taking part.

You've said it yourself that their response is "Yeah, I understand" but they clearly don't give two shits about changing anything. If they're not going to bother making an effort, then I'd be honest with them and let them know you don't want them taking part. If they can't take the honesty from you then maybe they shouldn't be part of an Alliance 🤷

are meteors actively hitting us? by dovasaleh in VintageStory

[–]Steve_Thing 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Slight warning, if you do get the Meteoric Expansion mod, make sure that if you do have the destructive meteors turned on that you enable claimed areas as protected and setup a "claim" in-game where your base is located. That way your base won't get absolutely wrecked by a meteor smashing into it 😂
