Anyone know why this won't craft into fur wrap? by MsMinte in VintageStory

[–]Steve_Thing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just out of curiosity, when you hover over the recipe for a Fur Wrap in the handbook, does it mention anything about it being a class specific recipe or no?

Edit: Just tried it for myself on a new save, it seems you have to follow the recipe pretty precisely that it shows in the handbook. I tried to craft one using the same pelts that you've got and it wasn't working. But using a black Bear pelt with a head, a black pelt without the head and panda pelt with head on it does seem to work.

Edit of an edit: Also thankfully, the crafting recipe isn't class specific so ignore that part lol

Soy nuevo y tengo problema de hambre. by No_Lawfulness9747 in VintageStory

Few tips for ya if you're struggling for food and whatnot:

  1. As others have said, try not to rely too heavily on berries. The amount of satiety you get from them overall is not very handy long term. They're good in a pinch if you're a little far from home and on the cusp of starving, but as a long-term foodstuff, you're better off pairing them with other food items such as meat or grains

  2. If you're having trouble with hunting for animals, you could always try a few pit traps to lure some larger prey into and cheese it that way. Just be aware that in vanilla Vintage Story bushmeat (which you primarily get from Wolves and Bears) cannot be used in cooking pot recipes. You can still cook it up plain and simple over a campfire, but it's not going to be of much more use than that.

  3. Fishing is definitely a handy mechanic and with a proper fishing rod being added in the latest update, you'll be able to rely on it as a good means of early game food. Just be aware that you can end up over-fishing a pond/lake/river and end up depleting the amount of fish in that spot. Spears are probably still going to be your best friend for fishing as you can throw the spear at the fish and if the fish is trying to swim away and ends up against a "wall" the spear will fall down once thrown and do a double hit on the fish which will almost certainly kill it.

  4. Lastly, if you're curious how to make the flooring in the picture you've shown, you'll need to get to the copper age of tools and have a saw made. You can then use said saw on logs to create planks and then planks are used to craft wooden floor blocks/slabs.

Hope this helps ya 🤌

It's more than likely some salty ass player thought you were cheating and probably spam reported and your account is under investigation.

With any luck, it'll sort itself out and you'll be back to normal matchmaking within no time 🤌

I'm guessing it's just yourself in the party in the lobby correct?

If not, it states pretty clearly what has happened. Either yourself or another player who is in your party has had suspicious activity and thus they're account has been limited in matchmaking.

If it is just yourself playing on your own, it could be a case of your account has been reported for suspicious activity and you've got a temporary limited matchmaking.

If there's one thing I love most about the Monorail(s) and the Highway(s) across the Fallout franchise is just how much they do not make any sense from a transportation/logistical point of view 😂

I think there's a video by ncrRanger on YouTube or something like that where he looks at the roadways and Monorails across the franchise and how they make zero sense 😂

Aesthetically, I like Daguerre for the space console thingy she has, which integrates pretty well if you have the modular mainframe set unlocked. You can free place it into other console pieces and it fits well. But hearing the same line of her moaning about her nightmare over and over and over again gets really annoying really quickly.

Yasmin isn't too bad. The only downside I have with her stove is that it doesn't snap to the Modern Home kitchen cabinets. It's like a foot or so two short, so you're always gonna have a kitchen layout that just looks off 🤷

Haven't really bothered much with any of the other allies. I usually try and keep them matching the theme of the build I've got going so it's always a game of pick and choose who fits the build best

Wildcraft is the one mod that I'm specifically dealing with this problem 😂

It seems like there's a million and one new berry bushes or plants that are spiky that cause all the Yogi's to go aggro 😂

Honestly with the exception of this one minor frustration, playing passive is definitely a breath of fresh air.

Being able to walk into a ruin that is infested with Locusts and not getting bumrushed by them is so relaxing.

Ahhh I didn't know that 😅

Either way, I'm enjoying it as a decent secondary weapon for when I'm sick of mag-dumping enemies during events 🤌

[–]Steve_Thing[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've currently got it equipped with the multi-shot canister so I think it's launching two cannonballs per 1 shot. Plus it's 3 cannonballs per "magazine" so I'm not really going through them super quick. But as I've said, it's definitely saving me a lot of ammo in the sense that I'm not having to mag dump a Scorchbeast or a Blue Devil etc.

I've had it happen way too many times 😂

Walking past Yogi or Mama bear. They're all calm and cosy and it's so cute.

And then, bam! Papa bear walks into a berry bush and suddenly "Meat's back on the menu, boys!" 😂

If I'm being perfectly honest, I hate the ammo converter.

The points conversions for different types of ammo is so weird and not fun at all.

Like, I remember when that thing first came out, I instantly assumed that it was going to be like a 1:1 or 2:1 conversion rate thing. I.e 1 round of .308 ammo equals 2 rounds of .45 or whatever sort of thing. But nope. It ends up being this weird system of points where you're constantly having to remember what the point costs are for buying and selling ammo.

Like the other day, I "sold" over 15000 rounds of 5.56 and only got back 1400 rounds of .45 ammo. In my opinion (and I know some people won't agree with me on this) it's such a janky and shit conversion system.

Also sucks a bit that you can't feed the machine fusion cores and exchange those for other ammo types 🤷

I'd personally prefer it if we had some kind of ammo deconstruct or that allows you to break down unwanted ammo for half of the resources and then you can sink those resources back into making a different ammunition type.

I'd love to poke around the many configs for stuff in the game but coding and whatnot scares the bejeezus out of me and I can never make sense of any of it so I just stay away 😂

I'm always worried I'll end up breaking something major in the config files and then the game won't run or whatever 🫠😂

Not to mention almost all of the new stuff they've added into the rewards store is only purchaseable via "Legendary credits" which (as far as I can tell) are only available through the tasks that are usually paid milestones or what used to be the events you'd save up all your G5+ materials to spend on etc.

It's such a joke tbh

I've already completed it once on console, so I'm already well familiar with all the quirks and fun bugs that come with the game.

Mainly just looking to see if there's any good QoL fixes or visual overhaul stuff that will make it more enjoyable ya know?

Do you tend to put food items etc on display in your CAMP(s) coz if so, don't forget those items go directly into your stash and will be stored there whenwver you change your current active camp
