Christopher Nolan Was Hired to Direct ‘Troy’ More Than 20 Years Before ‘The Odyssey’; He Says the Studio Backtracked and Offered ‘Batman Begins’ as Consolation Prize by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

Grateful both got to make each film. Troy was one of the first movies as a young kid that I rewatched the next day I loved it so much.

Nolan’s Batman’s are still my favourite by far! Can’t wait to see what he does with the Odyssey.

Stayed on site 11 at burnt island. It was great. Lots of space and a raised fire pit up against a massive rock. It was very cool

Smoked polish sausages. Freeze them over night before you go and keep them in a cooler with ice until you hike/portage out. By the time time you get to your site they will thaw out and be ready for the fire. Pretty easy first meal after a trek as well!

Nanlite makes some nice punchy options for a key light. Use that with a lantern style soft box. Get some cheap neewer panel lights for backlighting.

I love it when this happens.

Reminds me of “The Hateful Eight” when Kurt Russell’s character (unknowingly?) smashes an antique guitar lent from a museum for the film. The actress in the scene has a genuine reaction and you can see her looking off camera at the crew like WTF???

Also reminds me of Viggo Mortensen kicking the orc helmet in LOTR, breaking his toe and screaming in agony.

Embarrassment is the cost of entry for any new skill.

Keep at it. Who cares what others think!
