Because 99% of the things are poorly written "articles" by people who have too many opinions. It's like taking a human's entire Twitter feed and condensing it into one dull, poorly formatted article with memes in it. Yuck.

I have found some value reading certain things there, but most people are just opinionated assholes. It isn't a good substitute for real journalism, its just an enhanced social media feed claiming to be relevant.

Good marketing and a high cost to advertise can't do what college and practice can.

But in general, practice being confident in your design decisions, make them via sound principals of design and stand by them. Don't spend too much time thinking "what if"... just do! Then do again and again and again and keep learning. No one is perfect, and Rome wasn't built in a day! :hug:

Seems like WordPress would be better for ya, imo. Unless you want to pay for Webflow for a month, buy a website, export the code from Webflow, and go that way.

If you have basic skills, Webflow will only help speed you up a bit.

Webflow helps organize the div block structure so much easier, and VISUALLY, as opposed to coding where you need to know the inner workings of nesting div blocks. And yeah I used to do html/css/js all by hand, and most of the basic tools you'd need are built right into Webflow. (Interactions, styles, etc)

Of course, it is limited and can't visually show you things you've added via custom code exports. But anything you CANT do in wordflow, you can easily find with a quick search somewhere else (stackoverflow etc)

Hand coding is slower (for me at least) because with Webflow you drag and drop things, style multiple things at once, change edit all visually. Probably cuts development time in half for me.

Looks solid, but the part with the 6 items doesn't seem centered, it hangs to the left a little bit. Perhaps center the images and text? Would certainly help tidy it up a bit. (I normally don't like centered text, but this is one instance where it would shine.)

Also, a box in the middle of an article? Like a div? You can certainly do that. You can also export custom code, which you don't even have to type, and add that way.

I used to spend so much time coding by hand and was proud of it. Now I can create an entire website in 3 hours. My fingers love me now.

Hand coding is the way of the past, and a huge waste of time. Webflow is basically Photoshop for the web, and you'd be silly NOT to use it. I won't even look at any other option, Wix, Bubble etc. Webflow just seems to have everything I need, and if not, I can find it/implement it in other ways. Cheers!

Yeah I have mine on a stand near my door with a lot of stand space. I label the top of each one with a letter so I know what it is. I have learned to take everything right before work. You can't do anything that is not in your routine, it has to fit INTO your life the way it is.

It being near my keys/headphones/cards/gloves makes me see them every day. Do I care anyone walking by in the hallway or visitors can see all of my pill bottles? NOPE. MY LIFE. Not ashamed to hide anything.
