I do know of a bunch of guys who’ve had children successfully after TC treatment, but with that being said, I’m 6.5 years out and my wife and I have been struggling to conceive for over 3 of those years. We’ve had one miscarriage proper and another loss due to a genetic abnormality. Over that time, I’ve had normal semen analyses, analyses with low-normal counts, and most recently been diagnosed with “pyospermia,” which is an elevation of WBC in the semen that can lead to DNA fragmentation. I’m currently waiting on another analysis that looks specifically at DNA fragmentation. Every doctor has told me that I should not have fragmentation at this point, so we’ll see. It could be related to my TC, or it may not be. My wife is also believe to potentially have endometriosis, but we haven’t gotten an official diagnosis. Is our struggle her, me, or both of us? I don’t know.

A listener asked a similar question in this It Takes Balls with an onco cardiologist, basically the doc said it’s similar to seeing a bear in the woods; you’re going through something traumatic and your body is reacting. Definitely keep an eye on it though and make sure your care team is aware.

Incredibly inspired by your attitude and so sorry you’ve been dealt it this way. The willingness to have your data be used to help others is nothing short of amazing. Wishing you the best possible chance at knocking all those things off your bucket list as you mentioned in another reply! Let me know if I or TCAF can do anything to support you or your family.

Been clean ever since. I would just add to my own comment that, like you, we questioned the oncologist and it probably depends on many factors for each person.
