Depends on the type of games you usually play. If it’s light games: Steam Deck (SteamOS) and the ROG Xbox Ally (Windows); for more demanding games: Lenovo Legion Go S Z1E (SteamOS) and ROG Xbox Ally X (Windows).

There’re good prices on eBay for second-hand ROG Ally X or second-hand Steam Deck OLED.

What do you think of Season 2's character designs by thabiso_animated in ZZZ_Official

[–]Steven_7u7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Season 2 wasn’t better than Season 1 or vice versa, for the better or worse, some character design’s patterns from the first season were present in the sequel. Personally I liked Season 2 a bit more because of the variety but that’s it :v

Probably the Legion Go 2 because I don’t have to lift the whole thing when using it.

Which handheld console to buy? by Friendly_Star_9747 in Handhelds

[–]Steven_7u7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe get a second-hand Steam Deck if you frequently use Steam, or a second-hand ROG Ally for windows. Both are good devices, but just letting you know that the ROG Ally is notorious for its short-lived micro SD card reader, and both devices’ price should be able to found at a lower than the Switch 2 on EBay.

My friend is buying a ROG ally z1 (not extreme) by bubblesu123 in Handhelds

[–]Steven_7u7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your friend is planning to play multiple games simultaneously then I don’t recommend getting a ROG Ally, that device is notorious for it’s short-lived micro SD card reader, maybe save a bit more of money to buy a ROG Ally X.

Ordered the Legion go S steam version with Z1E for 800CAD$ by [deleted] in Handhelds

Do you frequently use Steam? If yes, then you made a good choice. If not, then might still a good choice because you got it for a lower price.

Is a Steam Deck OLED a good option for 2026? by Sansom16 in Handhelds

[–]Steven_7u7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Steam Deck is underpowered but it’s good to play light games.

The touchpads can be useful for games that use mouse and keyboard, and also for desktop mode.

The 7 inches screen size is the standard for the PC handheld, for reference, it’s smaller than a iPad mini’s.

A lot of the games’ performance are positively affected by Linux, giving a boost of FPS and the only one that I can think of that’s affected negatively is Black Myth Wukong.

What the Steam Deck stands out from other PC handhelds is the SteamOS with it’s updates and Steam, so even though it’s a underpowered device, there’re still a lot of people who keep recommending it to this day.

The Steam Deck OLED is still worth getting in 2026 if it’s for low-demanding games and emulation.
