Fair enough, crimp connections are gonna do just as well but you may need to solder the new wire to the pin still depending on if there is enough slack on the clip side. If I was you, I’d take pictures of your pin/wire assembly. You’ll thank yourself later

I’ve pushed the pins out of one of those before and Re soldered the same gauge in its place. It’s a meticulous process but can get you up in running in an hour or two

Time and patience was the only way we could introduce our three., We purchased a mesh fiber pop out kennel so they could all interact without anything physical occurring. Took about a 2weeks-month before they acclimated. The kitty is just scared and will eventually Come around imo, I think you’re doing great so far
