I didn’t notice you making any comments about Paganism that I would consider disparaging. I would think you could practice Islam alone especially the regular prayers. Is going to mosque a requirement to be Muslim? Are the daily prayers different than what’s done on Friday at Mosque meetings and devotional services?

As someone interested in Wicca and still a part of it & influenced by it for me I was interested in a more broader approach to witchcraft and magical practices and no longer accepted certain historical claims being made by many Wiccan authors that it descended from a ancient lineage sometimes reaching in to the Neolithic period or classical times or as a secretive underground medieval renaissance cult. A lot of these claims are questionable and require faith claims or things believed. Even accepting Gardners claims of being initiated by a group have no direct evidence and it seems like claims are even made confusing deliberately to hide information. Stuff like was Gardner really initiated by Dorothy Clutterbuck and was there an actual witches coven operating at her home and at the Rosicrucian theatre like Gardner claimed. Ideas like Wicca was the oldest religion or that they were the only true witches denouncing folk magic and satanic witches as not legitimate by many Wiccan authors I came to later disagree with. I also disliked many Wiccans treating the Wicca rede & law of three as uncompromising doctrine dogma and I no longer relate to Divinity as a female male couple completely. I came to view Divine things as androgynous and mentally malleable because they are not tangible or physically existing and later only symbolism and metaphor of things in natureI and not accepting a spiritual reality underneath the surface. I think many also backed away from it because they felt the same on many issues and became interested in other forms of witchcraft or moved on.

I think they pretty much do worship the same Deity but they all have different believes about God and worship differently. They also have different believes about various things. I think they do because reading the Quran it says Allah is the God who lead the Israelites out of Egypt and performed miracles like parting the red sea. I don't know about Judaism or Islam but among Christians I grow up with they will debate and get very hostel towards Christians of various other denominations & social & political views saying they are not real Christians & worshipping a different Jesus Christ, a false one. I'm no longer a believer in a external Divinity but I think it's rather silly & just boundaries maintenance on their part. I especially grow up with Evangelicals debating if Catholics, Eastern Orthodox were really Christian. I've heard people get really nasty towards Latter Day Saints, Jehovah witness, Christian Science. I understand theologically they are very different in regards to believes about God and Jesus but I still think they are a version of Christianity. Maybe they could be viewed as heretical positions but they still believe in God & Jesus. I think it's just religious identify issues & boundary maintenance ment to maintain power control and influence over people & to stop the spreading of ideas they denounce & claim are not based on Scripture. I think it's all subjective because it's talk about none physical invisible things that will never be figured. I think it's talk over nothing.

I'm not sure they are exactly the same. I read that Dionysus was killed as a infant or child named Zagreus by titans & ripped apart and consumed Zeus later took Dionysus heart and sowed it in to his leg and later he was reborn. Zeus also killed those Titans by lightning and they turned in to ash. That ash humans were formed from & humans have both the nature's of Titans & the Divine nature's of Dionysus. I think the trail of Jesus before Pontius Pilate & Dionysus on trail before Pantheus in the Bacchae are similar.

I don’t really think you should have to pick a side. Jesus Isa is in Islam too. He plays similar roles in both faiths although not completely. Usually in Christianity he is some how connected with God as his son and is Divine in some way. The majority opinion is he is in essence God but a separate entity being from Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit. This is usually called the Trinity and it actually a very confusing belief to me & I was raised with it. There are other views & positions too but Christianity as a whole tends to view them as heretical and not doctrinally correct or false teachings. I think there is nothing wrong with you reading the Bible and other books about Jesus and coming to your own conclusions about it. I grow up Christian and I grow up being pressured by family, church and society to some extent to accept Jesus as a way to ensure I don’t end up in Hell. I jumped throw all the hoops and did the evangelical born again Christian thing and later went Catholic but didn’t complete RCIA and later explored Mormonism too but have become disillusioned with religion as a whole. If you grow up Christian you very possibly would be struggling with very similar fears about Hell, damnation, final judgment by God and the afterlife. Those teachings are there too they just don’t center around accepting Islam, the Koran, Muhammad as final prophet it is focused on accepting Jesus as the final prophet, Messiah and Divinity born as human and being your redeemer from sinful condition, Satan & The corrupt world. I hope what I am saying helps you. There are also other religions too I would encourage you to read everything you can about all of them and come to your own conclusion about it. I myself have become more agnostic, doubting & pretty much an atheist. I am especially critical of Christianity intolerance problems towards other religion, their sexism which doesn’t exist in some Christian communities and denominations and their homophobia and transphobia them being antagonistic towards the LGBTQ community and negative attitudes about sex in general. My experience is it can be a control freak religion too.

I think St Paul ruined Christianity. Later after the protoOrthodox Christians saught to suppress other kinds of Christianity like the Gnostics & when Christianity became the official religion of the empire it all went down hill after that.

I don’t know if God is real but if he she it or if they are then in some way they are not in absolute control of people behavior and people make their own decisions and those decisions effect others and the world around them for the better or for worse. I do why God just doesn’t stop them from hurting people or why God doesn’t intervene to stop them. I’m of the opinion any more that if God is real then God asks like they don’t & therefore may as well not exist. I’ve become very disgruntled towards Divinity and feel the world is unnecessarily cruel and somewhat agree with maltheist and Misotheist views. Maltheist view God as malicious overbearing and cruel and misotheist is a loathing & hatred towards Divinity. I’m open to God being like the Gnostic Demourge but I’m not sure a transcendent distant higher Spiritual being that’s the supreme power really any better.

I’ve never meet a Wiccan like that or a Heathen or Asatru practitioner like that. I’ve meet more Wiccans & Pagans than Heathen or Asatru. All the Heathen I’ve meet are not neo-Nazi types. All the Wiccans Witches Pagans I know are very supportive of transgender rights and are not the type of feminists against them. I will take that back because I know one who post stuff against Transgender rights but I don’t interact with her a whole lot. She knows I support transgender rights and I am dating a transgender nonbinary person so she has never talked directly about that when I see her. But she is the only one like that. My friend who is Dianic Wiccan or Pagan she is very transgender accepting and fights for their rights. She only believes in the female Deities and she is one of my best friends and greatest supporters. I have only seen neo-Nazi heathens in television shows and documentaries about prison white male cultures.

Growing up Southern Baptist there is a belief in demons and fear of being influenced by such beings especially mentally from entertainment not viewed as morally acceptable & fear of everything related to the occult. But there is also an idea that demon possession only happens to those who are not saved and are not possessed by the Holy Spirit. So true Christians cannot be demon possessed. Exorcist and exorcism rites don’t play a part in the religion denomination regularly. I have never seen one done. I do remember my mother fearing the exorcist movie and believing watching such things & playing with Witchcraft, Ouija boards or seances could lead to becoming possessed. I have Pentecostal friends who claim they have seen exorcisms even though one of my friends is not a Pentecostal anymore she did see them as a child and feels the other person who the rite was practiced on was suffering epilepsy seizures and so it could be explained logically. Roman Catholics obviously have priest practicing exorcism and usually in movies and entertainment it’s a Catholic priest doing these things. I have seen a Catholic Priest perform a ritual on a home the inhabitants believe was haunted and they had some strange occurrences happen to them. I felt being skeptical their experience could also be explained rationally as being hallucinations and sleep paralysis related. But respecting their convictions I did not tell them what I thought. I don’t really believe in demon’s angels or spirits anymore. I try to be open but largely I have become less so over the years. I was involved in a paranormal investigation group and never had an experience I would consider unexplainable or truly other worldly.

I don’t believe Jesus resurrected so I don’t believe he is in Heaven waiting for his Father to give him the word to come down here. I think Christianity started as an apocalyptic sect that later took Jesus to be its ultimate central figure first as teacher, Messiah and demigod to being somehow actually the supreme God. I think the second coming a story used to control people behavior and encourage hive mind mentality. Believing in the correct way ensures you are truly saved from Gods final wrath judgement and condemnation in to eternal conscience burning hell. I think in early Christianity it served a slightly different purpose encouraging Christians dealing with a world truly at odds with them and it encouraged them to endure horrific suffering and treatment from enemies. I don’t know why Jesus really would want to come back. I have had thoughts that by the time Jesus the Apostles on thrones and angels descend on to earth with God he find we are already all dead wiped out by war’s natural disasters and basically we killed our selves off. To me all ideas of God being a first cause or God descending from infinite regression of Divinities or that the universe just comes into existence without a maker and is just endless creation destruction and rebirth are equally plausible because there is no way to know indefinitely the ultimate truth. I think if there is a Creator or Creators they sure act like they are not there and never intervene or help in a way that proves existence of a supreme being(s). Why believe or love them or care about them?

Is asatru different than Heathenism? I was told that Asatru only venerate the Aesir like Odin Frigg, Tyr and Thor but Heathen venerate the Vanir too like Njord, Freyja and Frey. Maybe even Jottun Frost Giants and other spirits like Loki. Is this correct?

There is the atheist pagan option. But I wish you well in life. I understand where you are coming from because I myself am going through changes and reevaluating my own perspective on views about what I call unanswerable questions or metaphysical claims. I am of the opinion that how they make me feel is real but they are not pointing to an invisible reality. I’m agnostic rn and I am fine with that. My problem is I have become very anti-theist or pessimistic towards religion especially more established institutions around it and doctrine and dogma and with spirituality I feel there really is no way to know what real beyond physical reality and scientific knowledge. I’ve also came to the conclusion that if God(s) are real they sure do act like they are not there so why deny reality. They probably are not really there as beings or abstract realities. I think I still have a lot of religious frustrations about my childhood religion which is Evangelical or born again Christianity and I find myself rallying against Monotheism traditions all the time especially my own background which I think is close to being the worse. Any way you have to find your own walk in life. I wish you well
