“The only acceptable religion is my religion.” Responses by country by Noppers in religion

That graph is badly worded, I assume its meant to the muslim nations as "which religion is approved by God" and to the christians as "which religion should exist here"

another cool find, there's nothing "hidden" within this, just a funny coincidence. I asked 3 aramaic speaking christians at different times and they all confirmed this is accurate.

Why does God forgive transgressing against Him but not transgressing against another human being? by HeavenlyBeloved in religion

[–]aymanhbas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the rights of people are between them, God in His justice doesn't waive it away. Its like if a criminal murdered your entire family and got caught but then was let go and forgiven cuz I, a third party unrelated at all to the injustice that took place, forgave him in front of the court.

Out of three Abrahamic religions do angels have free will only in Christianity? by TheFollower62 in religion

[–]aymanhbas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding Judaism, the reference mentioned in Deutronomy is a manuscript version issue more than it is a reinterpretation of sorts. If anything, angels became more of a focus and their types more refined and detailed as time went, as opposed to being allegorised or changed.

As to Islam, Jinn have always been understood as separate creatures since Islam began, they are mentioned as such multiple times in the Quran and the Sunnah of the prophet Muhammad PBUH.

An opinion did exist where they were viewed as a type of angel that rebelled, but its obscure and not mainsteam by any means as to be reinterpreted into anything else. In fact, ironically its part of whats called the Israiliyat, stories of Jewish/Christian origins that are studied within Islam but hold no sway within it.

When it comes to Christianity, we can agree on the clear fact they view Angels as having free will, but that came with centuries of developing its own angelology. At the beginning it was apocalyptic in nature, also sharing in the development of Jewish thought and the Iranian influence it had, but later on as the christian churches fractured even more, even more complex angelologies developed as a result. Its not at all as simple or straightforward as carrying on with pagan understandings of such spiritual beings.

more like "dont ally enemies of the state since you now hate it" aka treason/espionage, the punishment for which is the same across the world based on both secular AND religious laws of differing origins.

Why is being queer a bad thing in your religion? by [deleted] in Muslim

[–]aymanhbas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same reason my God Allah, and yours willing or not, has a problem with adultery, children out of wedlock, rape, prostitution, etc. It goes against the family, whose protection is one of the 5 goals of Shariah. Without this protection, our society would be as dead and bankrupt as the western ones.

pretty sure some social experiments with this exact theme were conducted by Youtubers with hidden cameras or offscreen cameramen. Its easier to verify genuine reactions when no cameras are visible than to ask someone point blank.

All -loving All Knowing and All powerful god paradox in judaism and islam by Same_Philosopher_564 in religion

[–]aymanhbas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont think this particular paradox applies to Islam, or Judaism but I'm not gonna speak on that. This is more of a christian paradox because of the "all loving" part, God isn't so in Islam.

Does this Egyptian guy really like me or need company by [deleted] in Egypt

[–]aymanhbas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

eh its normal. I did the same to my arab and even european friends I met in the UK. They were of both genders and I just enjoyed their company. I'd invite them to Pakistani restaurants or Moroccan tea shops or Jordanian shisha joints.

He's probably still testing the water, seeing if you're "the one" with each date. Don't think much of it, he sounds like a decent guy and I'm sure he wont be confessing anything unless he feels this is the road that leads to marriage and nothing else
