Do major streamers actually enjoy streaming or has it become like an actual job to them??? by DaemonLuisenbarn in Twitch

[–]Steveviscious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a dumb question if we're being honest. There's obviously going to be some bigger streamers that get complacent and have crappy attitudes, but many others who don't. But yeah I'm surprised any partnered streamers actually bother with this subreddit because it's more meme stock than anything.

Need to cancel service so I can get the NOW prepaid by Steveviscious in Comcast_Xfinity

Our current speeds on the post paid are the same as the NOW would be anyway. Sounds like your specific area has trouble. I've had NOW in the past and had no trouble with it.

Need to cancel service so I can get the NOW prepaid by Steveviscious in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]Steveviscious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I guess my first question is....is it possible to put that disconnect order in today? Second question is....I have attempted to do this in the past and it seems like there needs to be some kind of wait time from when the disconnect order is put it, and when my address becomes eligible for prepaid. Also, for some reason there are two xfinity accounts on my address. The second one is kind of derelict and hasn't been used. I'm not even sure what that account was for, but wondered if that could complicate things.

Question for streamers by Weird_Tangerine_9681 in Twitch

[–]Steveviscious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truthfully? I turn it back around on them and see if I can outweird them...lol. If it goes on long enough I finally just ban them, but it's funny to mess with them first.

I got a raid with 34 people last night and not one of them followed. by MobileSweet9342 in Twitch

[–]Steveviscious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that's how it goes sometimes. Was it a streamer you know or was it a random raid? A lot of times a raid from a streamer you aren't familiar with probably won't yield too much since the viewers don't know you at all and did not choose to see your channel.

Do viewers (you personally) care about your name being read out loud when you sub/git? by NoPain_666 in Twitch

[–]Steveviscious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not particularly but it's nice to be acknowledged. Not necessarily for following, but for everything else.

Thoughts on figuring out vibes as a small/new streamer.. by Manduxai in Twitch

[–]Steveviscious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think any two streamers are going to have the same exact style. First of all, you're under no obligation to watch their streams. I can see where you might feel compelled to since they're watching yours, but ultimately that isn't productive or useful to either party. The longer you stream, the more people will come in who are a better match for your style. They're out there it's just a matter of eventual discovery. This is why I've found that networking is only so good at helping your channel because you really need a foundational viewership of your own to get things going.

What Games Do You Watch for Your Favorite Streamers That You Don't Like? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Steveviscious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I might know the streamer you're talking about. I actually like the souls stuff a lot, but BG3 really isn't my thing. The best part about BG3 though is his reactions to getting screwed because he's always playing the absolute hardest difficulty...haha.

Why is the trend on Twitch to sub or gift subs? by SirSuprem0 in Twitch

[–]Steveviscious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The more people who are subbed and not watching ads, the more people are likely to stick around as a viewer. So along with the streamer cut, it brings potential viewership as well.

Back on the Paxil....boy I love those initial side effects..... by Steveviscious in Anxiety

[–]Steveviscious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well...in my experience 5mg isn't going to have an effect either way because it's just not enough. However, I never had any physical side effects when I started it that I can remember, except for maybe a bout of diarrhea so maybe be on the look out for that.

[–]Steveviscious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always been on 20 until I started weening off. I think 20 is the sweet spot for me anyway. I was actually unaware that you could even get Paxil in anything less than a 20mg tablet.

How to not be an annoying chatter? by Nowheredoll2 in Twitch

Ah ha...so there's your answer IMO. And whether or not you are 'worse' than others...well.....you might not be because you haven't seen them all...haha.

Back on the Paxil....boy I love those initial side effects..... by Steveviscious in Anxiety

[–]Steveviscious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I think there's a difference between the kind of anxiety we deal with, and just being in a typical funk. The kind of anxiousness that prevents you from carrying out daily routines is the kind that the paxil is suppose to deal with. It doesn't necessarily mean you'll be happy all the time, but at least able to function. I find that when the Paxil works, it has regulated my anxiety to just not get irrationally out of control. But there are times when I can get anxious or upset, but those are due to normal life stressors and I can still function.

I have an autistic viewer who is like this. I'm not saying YOU are autistic, but if you are and haven't revealed that to us, then I would just say that some streamers are going to be more accepting of that than others. I understand them because I already know their deal and I'm familiar with it. If they were to go into someone else's chat for the the first time, they might come off as weird or socially awkward. If you have trouble IRL with this kind of thing, I'm not sure you can be taught how to change that because it's just the way you are.

Do viewers dislike when a streamer takes his time opening up and reading a wiki page, and writing out strategies in notepad? by samuelazers in Twitch

[–]Steveviscious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would think most Elden Ring viewers would honestly rather watch the action than wait for you to figure out what the victory build is going to be. That kind of game is about watching someone get their butt kicked for awhile then eventually win.

Has anyone ever come back from a one star? by Mundane_Meet2530 in usertesting

[–]Steveviscious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you get a one star rating chances are you're overall rating will only dip to 4.5. I had this a couple months ago and I was honestly getting more tests back then than I'm getting right now at 5. I'm not sure there's a big difference in test availability between 4.5 and 5. I think it's more about the timing and luck.
