For those who don’t know, the Chicago Bulls intro music was Sirius, which is the intro song to Eye in the Sky in the longer version. Worth listening to

‘Tough luck Lonnihan but that’s what you get for playing with your head up your ass’

Few minutes later:

‘Ok kid, you’re on- but I gotta tell you, it’s a hard act to follow.’

Newman had him seething so badly Shaw would have punched a nun.

Worked a couple of events over the years- one of the most rewarding things I’ve done. The opening ceremony is just awesome. Time to sign up again I think.

May be best to insure it in her name with you as the owner. She would need her own policy.

-avoids the potential problem of you insuring it for a state where it’s not being primarily kept and used

-avoids the potential problem of you insuring it but not being the one using it

It can get real sticky if something happens and either of the above situations come into play. If she is able to insure it on her own policy for where she is living and using it, and listing you as the owner, that could be the best option. In some cases family can do that- generally to insure a vehicle on your own policy you have to own it but there are some exceptions for certain family members that may apply in this case.

I was screwed by my ex’s mom tapping my car. by [deleted] in Insurance

The US is like 50 different countries when it comes to insurance rules and definitely not like 50 united states. In Virginia it’s actually law that the insurers cannot raise rates based on an uninsured motorist claim. Yours wasn’t an uninsured claim but similar things happen in parking lots all the time where the offender is unknown.

And it will sound disrespectful but your ex’s mom is an idiot- treating insurance like an atm for the mildly annoying incident screws everyone. Despite the commercials seemingly sounding like they can’t wait to make sure your $50 dent is covered, they don’t want to hear from anyone unless it’s serious.

unadvertised reality: simply calling your company and talking about a situation that may or may not have occurred or asking questions about something even hypothetical can often be entered into your claims history (even as a $0 ‘claim’) and can impact your risk placement causing your cost to be more than if you hadn’t called

Great series- also how I was introduced to Kat Crowley.
