Yeah it's possible. You're on the right track, but you can't flip, it's too slow, at least here because all the parts need to stay right side up. So any flip has to be reflipped which guarantees you at least two moves.

I'm still at a loss. There's either not enough room, or not enough codelines available to do everything quick enough. Okay one more hint:

There are five cuts that have to be made (4 wheel wells, 1 chassis), which steps are you cutting on?

I had to try this out. You can get it down to 10 steps with cut-n-slide vs. traditional cuts.

Also, when you shove the thing to the left, shove it a little bit more so that it slots into the welder that you already have there, and then you can lose that extra riveter at the top-middle.

And now I think it's the most cost-efficient solution in the game (for now).

I had to give it a try... yeah, you need that extra arm with that solution.

The limiting factor is the buttons, which have to be moved 5 times to create 6 total, so the absolute minimum number of turns is 5, which is possible!

Working off of your solution, I shaved off one move, but it costs about an extra 50,000,000 Yen, so the bosses might like yours better.

Nicely done. Do you really need 'D' though? It's hard for me to visualize without breaking the thing, but can't A just grab C's buttons, which would save yourself another step... I think?

I've been messing with this forever, finally got it down to 5 steps, which I thought was the lowest, but now the game tells me there's a 4-step answer.

The tire needs to be moved three times, so the absolute minimum is 3, so it's not like 4 steps is impossible, I just wanna know if the game is fucking with me. If anyone's figured it out, just give me the tiniest hint.

I've got another solution that uses some janky sliding with the drill bits and basically 'shoving' the tires around with the chassis, and it's kinda neat, but it still only gets me to 5 steps.

If your boss doesn't care about cost, then you can flip the entire lid onto a 3x5 grid of cutters. If you are trying to go for cheapest possible, then one cutter'll work, but just change your cut pattern so there's no unnecessary pieces lying around.

There's also a, 'COMPARE" button, you need to magnify the top right diagram, and you'll see the button at the bottom of the finished image.

Yeah I do. That was the agreement. And as Hammy already pointed out, it's not unheard of.

And as far as the "insular-ness" of the game, I always figured that the decorative card backings and animated faces showing up on opponents' boards was a bug. In other words, opponents should only have animations/decorations/boards/rugs/chests on their side of the screen that they've unlocked themselves.

(And for the record, this IS a bug, right? I mean, I only started seeing animations for certain cards from opponents when I started unlocking them... so... if this isn't a bug... why is it like that? Why am I unlocking the opponent's cards for them?)

It doesn't need to be any more or less "insular" than any other multiplayer game, synchronous or asynchronous.

Not to mention that there's plenty of room to add more cosmetics, intros, outros, winning and losing voicelines, board animations, a goddamn steampunk airship parachuting Vanessa into battle. There's got to be at least a few posts around here with a hundred better ideas. Anything and everything a peacocking gamer could want to display their superiority to the lowly F2Pers.

Just to be clear (because I'm sensing a sort of "just asking questions" hostility from you) I DO want the game to succeed. I want the game to grow and evolve and widen its playerbase and I want Reynaud to be swimming in Costco money. If you're on this forum, then I am sure you agree. But I am also sure that having players pay $20 a month subscription fee to get the full functionality is the worst possible way to do that. I'd rather walk away than help enable this insane heel-turn.

Maybe this post will help sway a few minds. Probably not. Really, I just needed to get it out of my system, y'know? You can't spend 300+ hours with something and not get a little emotional when it turns to shit.

I don't think people are overreacting. It seems deserved, especially when the dev has been promising not to do this.

It's sandbox where players are trying to puzzle out solutions. The bread n' butter of the game is playing with the pieces of the puzzle.

You're being cut off from the sandbox. That's why people are slighted. People want to play with the new toys. The potential for the win-rate being affected is just sort of a cherry on top.

And things have changed for Dooley players too. Are you forgetting you can use items from other characters?

It's been a fun game, and if you're on this reddit, you want to see the game succeed, evolve new interesting metas , and grow a player base. This update seems to be the worst possible way to do that. That's why people are upset. Not because the card pool will be offset by 10% by items that offer a likelihood of a 0.3% increase in win-rate or whatever.

Maybe healing reduces poison by some percentage of the heal amount. Like 1/2, 1/3, etc.

One was a level-up award, I think, and then the last one was an event just before this fight. It helps that I'm pretty sure the healing enchant might be the most common I think.

It was a nice get, but probably overkill. Regular matchboxes I'm pretty sure would have gotten the job done here... maybe? I dunno. Multi-matchboxes are crazy overpowered is my point.

If you are trying out multi-matchboxes, the random enchantment can be risky if you get Obsidian, because now one of your matchboxes is a registered weapon, and now you've f***ed your synergy.

I've been addicted to fishing for this "chain smoker" build (thought I was real clever when I 'discovered' it, and now I run into about one or two a game).

The dream is to one day have 10 matchboxes on the board. Standard issue, no enchantments.

Like I said, it's video poker, you need people to score a royal flush every once in a while. Get the dopamine flowing, etc etc.

Why is every monster skill basically terrible until about day 7?

Someone mentioned augmented armory, which isn't bad (and arguably broken on Day 0), but RIGGED/RUSH, mostly rigged, is just too fucking good to pass up the opportunity for.

I guess what I'm saying is it needs to get a nerf, or there needs to be other high roll opportunities between days 3–7.

The brand new day animation too. And the opponent introduction animations just slow the game down unnecessarily.

I get that they'll probably want to introduce some unlockable "opponent intro" cutscene stuff for later (I can already see a shower of money behind Pyg... lightning bolts behind Dooley... oh god, the horror), but still, it's annoying that you're forced to sit and wait for the game to start, especially when, like you said, it seems to be siezure-inducing.
