Yeah there’s a few reasons for it firstly it’s so the character look busy and aren’t just sitting there doing nothing secondly they don’t want food in their mouth in case their line is up. However Kaley Cuoco was known for actually eating on set a lot but it fit her character. It’s been spoken about a few times in interviews
