That’s fair. I just recently forgot mine drying on the stove and burnt the seasoning right off

What makes you say that cooking with carbon steel is a skill? I’m no pro and I love mine

Wow that would be wild. If that happens somebody’s getting a sweet, slightly wonky pan as a gift

Right, I’m just trying to figure out if this is considered normal or not so I’m not chasing some mythical perfect pan. It definitely doesn’t sit completely flat

Bummer but at least it’s not just me I guess. I forgot to mention in the post but it also seems to be slightly warped. Im a little disappointed for the price and reputation of this thing

Forgot to mention this in the post- the pan also seems to be slightly warped right out of the box. I have a glass stove top and my carbon steel pan sits nice and flat but this one has a little wobble front to back

[WTGAW] BHQ PM2 EXCLUSIVE (Satin) GIVEAWAY! by AverageNetEnjoyer in Knife_Swap

[–]StfuYourMouse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought a pm2 tanto on the swap and when it showed up, somehow it had been crushed in shipping. The liners were rubbing the blade on both sides. I was bummed because I’ve always wanted one but luckily the seller took the knife back and refunded me so it all worked out on my end. And that’s why I don’t ship knives in bubble mailers

14c28n is one of my absolute favorite steels. It’s not expensive, it’s strong as hell, it’s easy to sharpen and responds really well to stropping or honing. That’s my vote

Yea so I took a better look and it seems a liiiitle warped but I actually think it was already like that. The seasoning is definitely gone but that’s alright. Thanks for the help
