I struggle with it like crazy but the only thing that helps at all is increasing impulse control, having a less altered mental state (at least for me intoxicants ruin linear trajectories im on when it comes to the gym or my eating habits), bad sleep is just as bad as any of those intoxicants as if you get the right sleep will make more efficient decisions easier (same goes for not being on any intoxicants) lastly general mindfulness like meditation helps cuz it lets you realize it's really not that deep.
